that would be my choice. other patrons don't have a choice as to whether i vape or not....just because i can vape doesnt mean i should.

And to me, this is what is causing us to lose our freedoms. We've been brainwashed into thinking that what's best for everybody is best for us. We no longer have individual rights. We are not individuals any longer.

Ever seen the movie i-robot with will smith? If not, I'll sum it up. We have robots, they help us live a better lifestyle, yay, all is good. Oh no, the robots have taken over and to ensure our survival, have decided that it's best for us to live in camps under their complete control. That's their way of "protecting" us, which is what we asked them to do in the first place. And all this started when we gave up our rights and said "since i can't decide for myself then please make my decisions for me. whatever you think is best for everybody must be right, so i have to follow along with that."

Ok, rant over....sorry, got carried away there for a minute. To each their own though. Live how you want to live. For now, that's still your right to do that.

I normally don't even ask, as asking is an opportunity for an unsure waiter/waitress to just straight up tell you no when you probably wouldn't have had any problems.

I have the same "don't ask" policy, because when you ask, you are making whomever you ask responsible if they say it's ok. If he or she asks me what I'm doing (my PV is obviously not a cigarette), I just say, "It's just flavored steam. It shouldn't bother anyone, but if it does I'll be happy to put it away." I usually take a few inconspicuous draws after my meal.

I've decided that if anyone is ever bothered by my vaping (it hasn't happened yet), that I will politely explain what it is in order to educate them, apologize for causing discomfort and either put it down or step outside. I agree with others that it sends the wrong message about what we're doing if we act as if vaping is akin to smoking. I imagine that most people who have a problem with it simply need to be educated, and they have every right to know what you are blowing into the air.
