But I just can't seem to get excited about the liquids. Maybe it's from years of smoking crappy analogs but I'm finding that I don't care so much about the taste.
I've tried a few fruity ones and a vanilla but they didn't thrill me. At this point I would probably vape corn oil if it contained nicotine.

Am I really the only one who doesn't care to look for the "perfect" flavor?

But there are so many different flavours out there.

True taste is very subjective and a flavour that another vaper considers fabulous may not enthuse you at all.

The variety available is huge.

Have you tried coffee , chocolate , caramel.

I know most of the tobacco flavours don't really taste like cigarettes but some cigar or pipe tobacco flavours are close.

Have you tried WTA ?

persevere and I am sure you will find something that you like.

If you are a new vaper, it could be because your taste buds haven't come back yet, or periodically go lost. Your taste buds will improve. You can help the situation by drinking lots of water. Besides helping to flush out cig toxins and preventing you from getting dehydrated, water will hasten the healing of dead or missing taste buds.

Don't give up on the flavors too soon. In the meantime, you could vape unflavored eliquid. Buy some nic liquid low in mg, some VG, and some PG. Then d/l e-Juice Me Up software and make up a bottle of unflavored. It's not totally unflavored, but will have a very light sweet taste. I vape unflavored fairly frequently when I want a change.

Remember also that your taste buds are damaged from smoking. I went through sooo many liquids in the beginning and they all pretty much tasted the same to me.

I still get times when they go dead on me and when they do, I just vape DIY unflavored liquid and save my good stuff for when I can appreciate it lol.

I hear what you're saying op.

There are many flavours out there that I like, but none that I love.

Many of the juices I read people raving about are just blah to me and I often find myself either disappointed or wondering if I'm hard to please (or if others are too easy)

If you have juices that you like to vape then that's better than nothing. I'm vaping healthcabin flue cured tobacco at the moment and while I can't say I enjoy the flavour, I find myself reaching for that juice more often than any of the other rather flavoursome juices i have laying around.

If its important to you to find one you love, don't rush it. Just get a cheapie sample every now and again when you buy other supplies and maybe you'll find something great for you.

Had the same issue. I go from a heavy menthol(NuPort) to lemon to vanilla. I have found that the extreme changes in flavors help. I also find the strong citrus was a nice change for a menthol lover. It is similar but different, if that makes sense.

Please don't give up yet, there are so many choices out there compared to the choices in analogs.

I feel exactly the same as you. Since we quit about the same time, maybe we're both needing time to heal our taste buds. I've tried a few tobacco, peach, coffee and they tasted much the same. The one stand-out has been applewood from Backwoods Brew. Need to order a BIG bottle of that because it actually tastes good. Oh, and maybe will try Snickerdoodle from Mrs. T. Have a couple coming from Halo too and I'll let you know about those. Hang in there and we WILL get this right!

Not odd at all - as VChick said, there is no right or wrong. I have been vaping a long time and not really into a lot of flavorings. But I love coffee and (now this may sound weird to some) I love the smell of tobacco- even tobacco ashes. Consequently, though I sometimes use others, my standard vape is a DIY coffee and many times PureCig.

You say that you are not a "foodie," but are there any flavors and/or smells that you do like? Anything works, roses, mints, vanilla, pipe tobacco , even second-hand smoke <g>.

Tamarahvt the flavours you listed there are very simple, they don't excite me either. Have you got any complex flavours to try? The bakery inspired ones are great. Also not being a foodie is probably your issue too, all i can suggest is to think really hard about someting you have eaten or drunk and loved the taste or smell of, then try to find a vape in that flavour. Think about a lolly that you loved as a kid, maybe you liked candyapples or pixie stix? What would you consider a treat, maybe mint slice or peanut butter cups?

I would recommend having a look at -

Virgin Vapor, Ms T's Bakery and PinkSpot
