When I began vaping, I noticed that it was causing me to get a sore throat and nasal passage, tongue sores, and heartburn. After a couple of weeks, it went away. Well, during those two weeks, I was vaping the same flavor that I had gotten used to: Maxboro.

Last night I switched from Maxboro to Joosy Fruit. Same mix, different flavor. Woke up with a sore throat.

I vaped this all day and my sore throat eventually went away around early afternoon, but I noticed bad heartburn as well as a tongue sore. I brushed it off and didn't think much of it.

So, about 4 hours ago, I switched to yet another flavor: LF's VG menthol blend. A couple hours later, sore throat and heartburn increased.

I'm beginning to see a pattern. It seems that every time I switch to a new flavor, all of the above problems hit me all at once for the first few days. I'm assuming that the reason it lasted around 2 weeks when I first started is because I was constantly trying new flavors.

Has anyone else noticed themselves having this problem? I'm considering switching back to Maxboro and sticking with it, since it is currently my favorite flavor. But I still remain oh, so very curious. :?:

your getting your liquid from liberty-flights?

off topic: LF juices suck (opinion). I liked them in the begining, but DIY is so much better (read below)

Maybe I'm just being paranoid... but ever since I started to DIY I've been getting nervous about pre-made flavors from websites.

I'd prefer to make it from scratch and know what i'm vaping. I use to buy a strawberry liquid from Liberty-flights and it was yellow/pink. When I bought the DIY ingredients from the same website the liquid I made was Crystal Clear (and it taste better)

Also It sounds like your getting a cold. The whole sore throat thing is a sure sign. Pushing e-cigs and cigarettes aside, whenever I get even a mild sore throat it turns into the common cold within a week.

As far as tongue sores go. It could be the whole "PG allergy thing" or acidic burns from the liquid. But I personally think it's a geographic tongue.

Google it. It's not really serious at all, but You might have it. Call a recent dentist and see if he put it in his notes or something. It's a chronic thing that your born with.

I have a geographic tongue, it looks like I ate a sour candy sometimes. It's barely noticeable and I never get Patches or w/e they are called often.

I remember going to many different dentists and they always said "geographic tongue" while talking to the dentist's assistant. Finally one day I sat up and said "can you please tell me what the !@#$ a geographic tongue is?"

I was pretty angry that dentists don't explain what they are seeing in your mouth.

Dentist:
"cavity on the A25, geographic tounge, Fire Breathing Dragon on A45, Light enamel on the 435, Impacted wisdom molar on 3BA"
Assistant:
"Got it all on the chart"

As far as the Heartburn thing goes, I'm not entirely sure what's causing that.

Heartburn was my best friend for the past 3 years. We hung out all the time. It would wake me up at night and no matter how much water I drank my heartburn would always stay with me. I used Prilosec and it did help/work, but I'm horrible at remembering to take pills so it was never a steady solution.

BTW I'm 22, It's stupid having to deal with that crap so young.

A few weeks after I quit smoking I never had heartburn... like literally never had heartburn.

It's been 5 months and I honestly can say I've not had heartburn ONCE. To me, it's obvious that my heartburn was linked to cigarettes.

The nasal problem could be directly related to your sore throat: Nasal drip. I would say something like "maybe it's allergies" but allergies is so .......n ambiguous it's not even worth it to use as a cause of your problems.

I have "allergies" you know, the kind that I get when I'm around cats, or when I'm not around cats? (See what I did there?)

Besides Vaping and cigarettes. Think outside of that. Has any other external factors changed?

The e-cig is easy to point the figure at because it's new to you. Look around at what the other causes might be.

If you ultimately decide it is the E-cig. Under no circumstance you should "go back to smoking" Grab that nic gum and stay away from the analogs as much as you can. No reason to throw 28 days down the drain.

Flavorings can affect people differently and so can the nic strength. The best advice I can give you is to try different vendors and drink tons of water. I used to get heartburn from vaping but I upped my intake of water and it keeps it away. Also, most of us have a tendency to over vape a new flavor which could be what's causing your other problems. Go slower at it and again, try some different vendors.

So strange that people have heartburn from vaping.

For me it's my holy grail!

back when i first started vaping...i would get colds..when i switched to new flavors...same thing..this went on for a couple of months..after a while i guess my body just used to it..i no longer get colds..
Sounds like what I'm experiencing, only it's not as serious as a cold. My throat just gets sore and it will go away by the end of the day. My nasal passage stays sore, but my nose doesn't run or get stopped up of anything. But I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one experiencing some similar issues :p

I heard they sucked, but I got a 5ml bottle to try with my Riva 510 when I ordered it. Never know until you try it. I've heard some people say that they enjoy it. It isn't really that bad compared to what I've tried so far, IMO, but it isn't nearly as good either

What liquids people like is purely subjective. Liberty Flights is well supported and there are plenty of people who love their liquids. I think one of the better tasting eliquids is Janty's. Others may disagree but they have a very large customer base.

Many of us get mouth sores from time to time that appear to be from vaping. A product recommended by another ECF member with that problem has really helped me:

Colgate Peroxyl - I get it at Walgreens or Walmart: Colgate Peroxyl, Antiseptic Oral Cleanser (Hydrogen Peroxide), 8 fl oz

I haven't even tried DIY stuff yet, but I'd be willing to bet it's really subjective as stated above. I'm thinking I may just forget about all the flavored foo foo stuff and start vaping my socks!!

But I digress...Seriously, I can't wait to try some DIY, but I still think my main vape is gonna end up being some menthol creation...

I realize this has very little to do with the topic, but I figured..."what the heck!" I'm in a chatty mood suddenly. Forgive me for making no sense at all...maybe someone will post something intelligent now.

Well, I'll quote on this post that has absolutely nothing to do with the topic since I'm feeling a little chatty as well xD.
My favorite flavors are mostly menthol. I have not tried any DIY stuff yet either, but I feel the same. The moment I try it, I'm going to try to find the perfect menthol mix to use. I'm still trying to find the right flavor to stick with. I find it easier to vape one flavor as opposed to vaping tons of different ones

I really liked the complimentary bottle of menthol that came with my SP3. Thus far it's the best I've tried!!

If it's the white bottle I'm pretty sure it's from Bestecig. That's my first menthol and I still go back to it from time to time. When I go back to it it takes a few hours 'till my mouth and taste buds adjust.

It wasn't a white bottle, it was more of a clearish/brown unlabeled plastic bottle. At first it tasted buttery...really smooth...then the menthol kicks in. Awesome stuff!

I feel you on that heartburn thing. Im 18 and it was the same way for me until I started vaping. I still get it from two much soda, but its way better since I quit smoking.

Every liquid on Liberty-flights has a 9/10 or a 10/10.

The secret is... They give you 50 cents each time you review. I can honestly and shamefully say every liquid I bought I said something a long the lines of "GREAT BUY THIS ITS AWESOME ZOMG" and got my 50 cents.

I may have felt dirty afterwards, but it helped my shipping cost.
