So I've been a smoker for over 20 years (WOW, I can't believe it's been that long!). I've tried quitting numerous times using just about every method out there, gum, patch, chantix, etc. Nothing seemed to work. I've heard of e-cigarettes and had seen them at those kiosks in the mall, you know those places that no matter what they are selling you are going to get taken if you stop and buy whatever widgit they are selling.

Anyway in the middle of Dec. my wife and I found out we were going to be having a baby! My wife quit immediately after the positive pregnancy test, I guess sometimes it's about having the right motivation. I really wanted to quit with her and started looking for an option I hadn't tried before, and that led me to this site.

I started reading thru the site and couldn't believe all the options and all the slang... I just wanted an e-cig that would help me stop smoking! I didn't know what a pv, vg or pg was??? So I started doing a little more in depth research, big thanks to Cozzicon and MistressNomad for the videos they have done!

On thursday I ordered the ego-T from cignot and it showed up in the mail today, I swear I had a dream last night about this coming today... I was like a kid on Christmas morning! I charged it up, took about a half hour to reach a full charge, filled it with some juice and off I went. I vaped most of the day without smoking a cigarette. At around six pm I decided to smoke an analog to see if I was missing anything. Let me tell you the first thing I realized I was missing was the taste of licking an ashtray, how did I not notice this any other time? The other thing I realized is with an analog cigarette you know when you are done, you never get to the .... of an e-cig. I think I can handle that.

I think for the first time I have found something that will allow me to quit smoking for good! How long I will vape for I don't know, six months or six years, I stilll think it's a better option than where I was.

Thanks for all the info, now it's time to find the flavor that's right for me. I started with a tobacco flavor and the taste reminds me of a virginia flake pipe tobacco. Not bad but I think I can find something better.

Congrats and best of luck to you!!! Fortunately, you are starting with a great ecig. I just started using the ego t and love it after many, many dissapointments. Just remember to be patient with it and use the advice found on this forum. There really isn't a perfect ecig, and if you don't like the ego try another one. Just don't give up on it. Trust me, after going back and forth between ecigs and analogs many times I am always happier when vaping for the many reasons you will find with it.

That is a good way of putting it and it happened to me. But it took me longer than you. But every now and then I will have an analog and I really get that feeling of licking an ashtray! I think you picked a great PV with the eGo-T.

Right there with you on trying various methods. Nothing seemed to work for me either. Although I am new to Vaping myself, it has seemed to help more than any of the other options I tried.

Also with you on needing the the right motivation, the day my nephew was born, my mother finished the pack she had and has still not smoked another cigarette. That was over 5 years ago... I wish i had that willpower but I dont. but now I have a KR808 and well it will go from there.

Welcome to the ECF, and to Vaping. Believe me as a noob, there is more useful info here than you could ever read, and plenty of people in your corner.

Congrats on the upcoming little one, and on your decision to keep the nasty sticks out of your new family's life! and to your wife, for her strength to do it the old-fashioned way. not all women are that strong, i was blessed to have 2 healthy, happy kids even though i smoked through both of my pregnancies. some of my friends weren't so lucky. i hope vaping does the trick for you, i know it has for many of us. this is a very kind and helpful group of people, so whatever trials or triumphs you will face through this, you came to the right place for support and information. Welcome!

Welcome and glad to have you!

Now the next step is to find a good juice that works for you. Order from several vendors and
order small sizes only. There will be some you hate, some you like, and hopefully some you
love. No one here can tell you what juice you will like or love. We can suggest vendors
but you and you alone will have to do the taste test.

Getting the PV was the easy part....the right juice will take a little longer.
But is is also great fun!

Good Luck to you and your wife!
