Hey everyone,

So just to give you a fast summery, I started a post a few months ago asking the community if their was any e-liquid vendors that used optim in there juices instead of industry standard VG. No one could provide me with any vendor that uses it due to it being next to impossible to get.

Welp! I actually found one that uses it.

I'm probably more excited since I made a mission of mine to find a company that uses it lol. :D:D

I'll be posting my thoughts on it when my test samples come in.:vapor:

I just wanted to put everyone on notice that a vendor actually has in and they are producing e-liquids for the market. They haven't launched yet and have asked me not to say the company name yet.....but i'll be giving you guys the name when I do post my thoughts of it lol.

Oh I did ask them to provide proof that they actually use optim and they sent me their report from the factory stating that it was optim and the batch number for the drum that it's in plus the reference number of said batch.

I'll still have one of my professors do an analyzes of the liquid to see what it comes back as...but I'm 98% sure I found the real deal.

Oh one last thing I did ask them how much it would cost for bottles and they said $12-$20 rang so about the medium for e-liquids right now. I was hoping they were gonna say like $8-$15 but at least they aren't priced outside of the market.

What is optim?

It's a synthetic based glycerin that is 99.7% pure the other % is water. It's used in higher end pharmaceutical applications and since it's a glycerin it's approved for inhalations and is certified by the USP for such uses. Compared to vegetable-based glycerines are usually produced as a by-product of oleochemical processes such as biodiesel, soap, fatty acid and fatty alcohol production. Natural glycerines can therefore contain animal fats such as beef tallow, and vegetable oils such as coconut, palm kernel, cottonseed, and soybean, which can lead to inferior product stability and significant impurities.

When it's being manufactured it follows current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). In a nut shell it's the purest thing you could vape without any what if's.

Did you request a sample of optim, I see on the link site it has a request a sample button;)

I'm not a big DIY'er so I did not hit the sample buttom lol. I'm sure many people have already hit the button to see if they can get it.

All I know it's hard to actually purchase so well see if other vendors come out the wood work claiming they have it.

Just wondering....do you guys even care about a brand using this or is everyone basically content with the industry standard USP VG?

I personally haven't seen anything on ECF regarding anything remotely nasty or toxic with either VG or PG. Most DIY'ers get it where they get their Nic base, others use ED or any drugstore or department store.

NOW brand has been the only VG I've seen being highly spoken of around here.

There are a few older threads here discussing the product...in detail.

Not to burst a bubble, but you sound like this is THE answer. There was a time when cigarettes were considered to be good and healthy. Just sayin' long term tests and liability on a population are just that, long term.

Yeah I guess I did come off as this is the answer my mistake for that.

Just based off research I just thought it was a really good product for an e-liquid and with the test result the chemical company provides it didn't give me any red flags personally. But I agree.

Yeah I saw the older threads and that's what made me wanna look into this further. Based off those threads and research I said to myself this could really help the industry and like I said before with the test results of purity and things of that nature provided by the chemical company made me think are their impurities in VG...maybe but will it hurt me probably not.

I read not too long ago here that Dow was pulling their products from Ecig manufacturing.
