I also just read about your hip replacement.... At the age of 45 I have to have a total shoulder replacement (pad, ball, bicep tendon... I did this at work. After the first surgery a Physical Therapist tore it worse and caused MORE damage) and have had to retire from the industry I was in because my shoulder is now a total disability.
Like I said there are a lot of us that understand what you are going through. And believe it or not my soul support has been my daughter. She was there for Surgery 1. When the Doc came out to talk to my fiancé, my daughter told the Doc that he can talk to her to LOL... She wasn't there for surgery 2 but kept in constant phone contact with my fiancé and when the doc came out to talk to her, my fiancé had to call my daughter and put it on speaker phone so my daughter could hear the conversation. The Doc found that funny. My daughter may only be 9 but she is HIGHLY intelligent. When she was attending school they were wanting to put her in Honors. In 1st grade she tested out to 4th grade but I put my foot down because I wanted her to interact with kids her own age. And she didn't want to excel that way. YES as you can tell I am a very proud poppa of my daughter...
