thank you very much, Annette. a wonderful story. is there still a cigar store at the location?
Unfortunately, after 12 very fun years of operation the Cigar
shop closed at the end of 2009. Between President Obama's new tax which added 42.6 cents PER cigar tax and the state raising the cigar tax from 37% to 46%, it was clear to me that trying to compete against mail order and tax free Indian reservation retail operations was not viable. I miss it a lot though. It was a cigar
shop in a village located outside of Buffalo, NY that was a epicenter of many local people and businessmen coming in to have a cup of coffee, and a cigar and talk about the events of the day. It was a lot of fun and as I said, it is missed.
