I did a search for this here, ... No dice.

Anyhow, I suspect this question is best answered by the old souls of vaping, especiallly those in cold climes, rather than technical expert Watt Von Voltag Ohmomancer.

Like I said before, anyhow, one of the things I will miss is smoking in the cold, the way it seemed to warm me up, and I know I won't get that with vaping.

So, what are the special concerns of vaping and vaping equipment in the winter if a cold climate? (Where there is snow)

Anybody?

Well, you could short your mod and have it flame on, which would warm you up...

Biggest issues I've noticed over a couple winters is the increased chance of leaks when coming back into a warm environment. Any of the toppers that rely on a slight vacuum inside the tank have that potential, and as the device warms back up, it increases pressure and decreases the vacuum. (Similar situation when going from an A/C car into a hot environment.)

Batteries, of course, will be less efficient. Just keep your device inside your coat (in a way that won't allow accidental firing), taking it out to vape.

Central Minnesota here. We had a month or so of - 20f this last year.

Once it drops below freezing, I start taking my carrying case in from the car... That's about the point that my batteries stop working and my liquid thickens.

Keep your mod near your body, a pocket or something and it'll be fine. Same with whatever gear you carry with you, don't leave it in the car if you may need to use it.

My silver bullet used to take fifteen minutes or so to warm up of I forgot it in the car... And when it's frozen, it won't fire at all.

Honestly though, I don't miss going out to smoke. That was the worst part for me.
