When I got my SB in i loved the mirror finish. Immediately after taking the SB out of bubble wrap I noticed it came with 2 small nicks, and there was a raised edge/bubble by one of the threads. These were all very very minor, but I have an attention to detail. I know in the months to come there will be many more from natural use, but none of it bothered me.

To me you get what you pay for with the bullet. It is a steal at $99! This thing is built tough, but I will say that aluminum does scratch easy. I have never knocked mine over or dropped it (yet). I use micro fiber on it religiously and keep it in a case on my belt.

Yesterday the SB felt a little greasy in my hands. I just got done cooking, and hadn't wiped the SB down all day. I was on a quest to find something to put around the SB to prevent the transfer of oil to the SB.

I found these ipod nano socks my sister had laying around. They fit great! The top sticks out 1 to 3/4 of an inch. But you really wouldn't want the sock to go higher with the switch and the atomizer. I don't want to cover the switch because I dont want to get fibers inside of it. (and it feels soo good on your thumb!)

If you want the sock to grip the SB I would recommend putting a small but wide rubber band, shrink tape, or grip tape around the bullet if you do this. The rubber will hold the cloth so the SB won't slide out.

I don't remember the brand, but if I find the packaging I will post it.

In the meantime here are some google shopping links
ipod nano sock - Google Product Search

If your a parent, maybe a long baby sock might do....

Let me know what you think. If you have any other Idea or suggestions let me know!

Sorry about the nicks, the bubble happens from time to time when tooling needs changed or a small sliver of aluminium gets in the tooling. Great eye on that one! I see that about one out of every 100 pieces or so. I can usually make it disapear, apperantly not on yours:p. Curiosity where were the nicks?

Well I tried to take some pictures, but they just won't come out with my 2.0 MP cell phone camera. (my digital got stolen!) It's too shiny!

Now Chad I am not trying to bad mouth your product. I regret mentioning it actually. The marks just made me realize how delicate the finish can be. I personally think it is currently the best mod on the market right now. I also think the price for the value is outstanding.
I am 110% satisfied with this product. I'm trying to get my boss to buy a black one!

That being said I understand that the SB or ANY other product consisting of polished aluminum will suffer scratches. It just happens, no way around it.

So I am thinking of ways to baby it!

How does that go?..Great minds think alike!.

Now I need one for the CANON, any ideas FreeGT? :p

How tall is the cannon? The tennis grip is 7 1/2 inches long.....

Maybe some long uncut heat shrink tubing. . I know they make thin tubing up to 2 inches. I know they have clear and matte black for sure.

Aside from that, I don't really know. Maybe baby panty hose?

Man, I wish I would have had a sock for my BSB today. I've only had it since Saturday, and today it flew out of my pocket and skipped along an asphalt parking lot. She's all scarred up with dings and scratches. Oh well, battle scars on my brand new baby. Still vapes like a champ though. It shows how well these things are made. Most other mods probably would be in pieces. Thanks for the quality goods altsmoke.

It happens sooner or later. Just like riding a motorcycle, EVERY one will drop a bike in their life. I swear I never forgot to put my kickstand down! (thank god for crash cages!)

Look at it optimistically, now you don't have to baby it 24/7!
