I got stopped

Was up in Gravenhurst today. Main street (no idea what it's called) was closed due to construction. So I'm driving along the back road (John St?) and drive past the police station. There, standing by his cruiser and watching traffic crawl by him is a young officer. I'm taking a pull on my Maxi Rough Stack.

I pass him, and he turns in my direction. Now, I'm moving at maybe 10km/h if even that. Just crawling. He starts walking to my direction. I reach the stop sign. It's my turn to go. He starts running towards me.

"OK, this oughtta be fun" I think to myself. Before he pulls up, I roll the window down and pull the e-brake. Nice and polite. "Yes officer?"
"You ain't smoking a pipe are you?"
*Forgive me, I'm not on the up and up with drug paraphanelia, so I'm a little lost, and I've got a confused look on my face.*
"I'm sorry, I don't understand what you're asking sir"
"I saw you puffing on a pipe"
"OHHHHHHHHH, this?" as I proceed to show him my MRS.
Condescendingly, (I don't remember his exact words), to paraphrase "You're not dumb enough to smoke weed are you?"
"No sir, this is my pv. It's getting me off cigs".
"I don't smoke, you may now proceed".

And off I go.

Just thought it was an interesting exchange.

LOL I was vaping in the car the other day and saw a police officer watching me. I am just waiting for them to stop and check me out too.

I have a good roughstack story too. I'm driving down US1 here in St Auggie a couple of days ago, took a couple off hits off my mini and I hear this horn honkin' to my left. I look over and there is a car load of young folk giving me the thumbs up, yellin and what not. When we hit the next traffic light they pulled up beside me and i told them it was an e-cig. They all looked kind of disappointed that it wasn't somthing illegal. Almost felt like I needed to apoligize. Kids now days.....sheesh!

I was vaping my Ali'i boxmod at a drivethru and there was a garbage man collecting behind the building who saw me vaping. He starting laughing and gave me a thumbs up...

People are weird. lol

I'm waiting for the day to get stopped too. I go to work at a time officers are CRAWLING the streets LOOKING for something... I've already rehearsed my lines and know to pull over-turn on interior lights and put HANDS ON THE WHEEL.... and of course let you all know what happens....

Maybe a funny story. I have yet to be stopped by a cop, but I have had random strangers accuse me of smoking crack.

I was walking through an alley in a rather shady part of town puffing my black 510 with blue LED tip, this guy who was probably twice my age comes out of this well known crackhouse, takes a look at me puffing, and yells "HEY, THAT GUYS SMOKING CRACK IN THE ALLEY", to which i flipped him the bird and carried on my way (i wasn't going to even attempt to explain it to him - although in retrospect I shouldve told him it was the crack pipe of the future, he'd of probably bought one on the spot).

Ive since, been waiting for the day when a cop accuses my e-cig of being a crack pipe as well. Im sure it will happen inevitably. I can see the similarities between a straight shooter and a joye 510 e-cig, so I can see how someone could reach that conclusion if they just took a quick glance and saw a black tube in a guys mouth followed by a cloud.

Apologies if this is unacceptable to share this experience, I thought it was a novel experiene.

I dunno, my bud and I went for a ride on the bikes the other night and stopped at Timmy's for a coffee. He was smoking and I was puffing on a silver coned 1100 mah setup. 4 cruisers pulled in and they all just looked... I said dam smokers making me stand outside for a coffee, I could be puffing mine inside. That brought a few chuckles from the "boys" as they walked by.

Here in Mississauga, we have been having a couple of good days, so I was off to work with my windows down, came to a red light at one of our busy intersections, and a Peel Police cruiser pulls up beside me as I happen to be taking a BIG pull on my eGo Tank. The officer looked over as I pulled my pv out of my mouth and inhaled. I couldn't resist exhaling this massive amount of vapor (new atty) to which the officer yelled out "what in gods name was that?" I almost burst out laughing, I mentioned it was a electronic cigarette. His exact response: "Really? Sure the damn thing is big enough?" He was quite surprised IMO

Once when I was walking my dog on the street I passed a group of cars stopped at a pedestrian light. I was puffing away on my bright emerald green reo mini like it was a natural thing to be doing and looked up at the cars to see a female cop in her cruiser looking at me passing by with this thing in my mouth. I just gave a "have a nice day" smile to her and she gave me a "whatever" smile back.

That's about my only brush with the law and ecigs so far....

I get strange looks in all the time smaller cities using my PV up north. Hey come to think about it, pretty much everywhere I use it in public. Just think how many people that cop would have told this story too also. "I thought I pulled over a guy smoking crack today....." Can't buy word of mouth like that.

Isn't it legal to smoke a pipe? and isn't it also legal to smoke a J as well?

if it's not then...I've seen a lot of people doing it right in front of cops who don't care.

Well over here in bc I wouldn't be surprised if half the police force were closet potheads, so puffing away on something that looks like a pipe on the west coast might not bring that much attention to anyone
