Tomorrow will be 9 months for me. YAY! I was one of those that got my kit in the mail, tried it and never picked up another analog. I hadn't intended to quit smoking. I didn't want to quit. All I wanted was to cut down to save money and hopefully get rid of the nasty, constant cough I had. (Smoked for 35 years, usually more than a PAD.) But, when I tried it, I knew that it was a way that really could work for me, so I just decided to go for it. I think it took about 3 weeks to stop reaching for a cig (I put an ecig where I usually kept cigs), and to stop 'flicking ashes' off my ecig. lol The weight of it was another adjustment for me and that's probably the only thing I actually miss about cigs... the way you hold them. I don't miss the stink, the smoke or the cough (totally gone!) Ecigs taste SO much better! I consider them the invention of the century... yes... better than computers and the internet. lol

My husband hasn't found it as easy as I have. As far as I know he's still having about 1/2 of a hand rolled cig each morning, but he does that outside before I get up. ;)

I hear you, I didn't want to quit either, I ENJOYED smoking. But my step-son (at the time) was diagnosed with Leukemia, and couldn't be around smokers. Ecigs made it SO easy!

I slipped up on days three and four. I'm not sure why, but I had some pretty bad withdrawals on those days. Probably didn't have high enough nicotine in my liquids to make up for the difference between smoking and vaping. I just find it strange because I was never a heavy smoker (a little less than half a pack a day) and only smoked on and off for a few years. Haven't had a cigarette since then, though.

ETA - I still have cravings when I see people smoking, but I just pick up my PV, switch to a higher nicotine liquid, and I'm fine. I also have one flavor that has been the closest to a traditional cigarette that I've found. It tastes pretty awful, but is great when I'm craving a smoke.

I tried someone else's ecig and knew from that first drag that it would work for me.
The next day I drove 100 miles to the nearest Pilot truck stop and bought one.

I still had a few smokes left in my pack though, and I smoked one each morning until they were gone.

The thing is, I was still having hassles making sure the darn thing worked right every time, all the time.
And the one thing I WILL NOT tolerate is hassling with it to make it work for that first smoke of the morning.

Luckily, after about 5 days I discovered dripping, and my hassles disappeared.
So when that last cigarette was gone, I switched over without any further trouble.

But I still have a cigarette once every few months or so just for fun.
I like to remind myself that they no longer have any power whatsoever over me.
:)
