Well, more so rba RBD question

so I built my first dual coil on my steam churbine (patent pending) and built pretty good, 1.3 ohms, and even heating across both elements, inside out.

I got a bad draw though on it and chalked it up to the tinsy tiny holes in the cap on the churbine. So I bought a chimbus.

I actually too the SAME coils, used some 2mm braided silica, juiced it up and it doesnt taste burnt, but it seems like theres virtually no vapor production.

agian, 1.3 ohms, running around.... 4.2 volts, am I just doing something wrong or am I just not cut out for drippage?

EDIT: and by no vapor production I mean thers hardly any taste. I'm not chasin cluds here, but I want somethin that tastes bold and strong =P

What I would recommend is not using silica, but using a Cotton cloud like I have setup on mine.

Also you have to understand if you have 2 coils that equal 1.3 Ohms that means that you have 2.6 Ohm coils. These coils will have a long heat up time (Which is probably why you’re not getting any vapor production)

If you have a mechanical, get some 30A batteries (I have some Sony VTC4, that work great) and cut your ohms down to .5 (2-1.0 Ohm coils) and your vapor production will be amazing.

see I took that into consideration and thats why I'm at 4.2v (that should make it around 7 or so watts. My Iclear 30s at 2.1 (thats 4.2 ohms each) is set for 4.6v and hits hot and strong, so thats why I'm at a loss

I cant stand cotton. Not sure, but it tastes too weird for me.

If its not juiced up properly, it will taste weird. If you run your cotton through your coils then the first couple hits 5-10 hits will taste weird then it will go away. I do use just some "Plain ole cotton", organic cotton may not do it (Not saying it doesn’t, I don’t know).

I thought the same thing when I first tried cotton, then I tried again and it went away and now I actually prefer cotton :)

Houston, Tx,
The airflow holes on the nimbus are way too small. I have drilled mine out to get the vapor production up which is good, but the flavor did not increase as much as i thought it would. My Trident v1&v2 give muuuuch better flavor and throat hit than the nimbus at the exact same build (.6)! Just speculation on my part but I assume this has to do with the fact the airflow chamber is so large and wide open, so unless your condensing large amounts of vapor with a much lower build, the nimbus is not going to give you good results.

finally got it. found a hot spot and the coils were pretty nasty so I just rewrapped em with some 32g. I did 7 wraps thinking I'd hit around 1.3 ohms on a dual coil, I hit 1.6 x.x but, thats ok.

idk if the juice actualyl is tasting better, or if its tasting better because I finally conquered the first step in wraping coils :D

loving the braided wick too. alot better than rope. maybe I need to fanagle with my iclear 30s coils and rewick them to braided silica
