I guess I'm one of the lucky few.

My 19 year old daughter was sitting across from me yesterday while we ate lunch. She picked up her phone and started fiddling with it and asked me how much I have spent on vape stuff since I quit smoking almost 3 months ago. I keep monthly tabs on how much I spend so I added it up and gave her a rough estimate. She looked at me and said I'm proud of you Momma. Then she showed me her phone. I had forgotten that she had downloaded an app similar to the sigs you see on many poster's profiles that tells you how many cigarettes you haven't smoked, how much you've saved, and hers actually tells how much time you haven't spent smoking cigarettes. Since I started vaping I've -saved- over $100!

My equipment is simple but I'm happy with it. 2 MVP 2's, a 1000 mAh Twist and I use my Spinner as my backup battery. Topping my 3 batteries I have a ProTank II and 2 Mini ProTank II's. The only complaint I have is the coils are hit or miss but I have found if one simply isn't working up to par, I simply throw it out. However, the coils that work well I will baby as long as I can until they give out. Next month I was thinking about maybe trying a ProTank 3 or perhaps giving carto tanks a try, but I really don't need anything else for the remainder of this month :).

About my only vice is juice. I have found that I have a bit of e liquid ADHD lol. It's not that I haven't found juice that I like, I have found many, but I also discovered that I tend to get tired of flavors relatively easily. So I started a juice box for myself hehe. The flavors that I really enjoy but started getting a little tired of go in the juice box to be re-visited down the line a ways. The flavors I don't care for get shipped every few weeks to my vape pal in Texas lol.

Btw this is not in any way shape or form meant to put anyone down. If you've discovered vaping as an incredibly fun hobby, that's awesome! I know a lot of people enjoy fiddling, tasting, building, re-building, etc. And if you have the financial means to support your hobby more power to ya!

So anyone else find themselves saving money since they started vaping as an alternative to smoking?

Congratulations!

As you can see in my signature, I doubt I will be saving anything anytime soon but that is by choice! I am now happy with my equipment but I do see me buying more down the road too. I am now into DIY so I am buying LOTS of flavors and am loving it as well. I will soon start rebuilding coils so while that will save me money in the long run, I will have to buy supplies for that too.

This is a great journey and there are many roads to travel if you choose. The great thing about it all is we all have a choice in what we want to do or not do. Good luck in your continued success!

I run a spreadsheet to track my saving/spending. In just over three months I have saved $150, and I have lots of gear & juice on hand. It won't be long before I do more ordering, but I am so pleased to see that my saving is ahead of my spending. It helps that I am not into mods etc., and don't expect to be, but the money saved is one more 'win' on the long list.

I've saved tons and tons and tons of money,,,,,

I make my own juice, and I no longer use nic, so that is cheap cheap cheap,,,,,,,,I vape a ton, and it's STILL cheap,,,,I get about 3 days out of 50ml (sometimes 4) and it costs me 2.23 to make 50ml of juice,,,,,,,,

a head for my Iclear 30, lasts 3-5 weeks,,,,,I buy them from Fasttech, and they cost about 6.50 for 5 of the things,,,,,it's too cheap to even worry about.

Wow, I have that same "add to cart disease". It must be contagious...lol. VAPE ON:vapor:

Lol I'm glad I haven't been hit with Add-To-Cart Syndrome. Not sure if my pocketbook would support it ;).

And thank you all for the support and encouragement :).

When I first started, Mr. Robin made a comment that he wondered if vaping or smoking would be cheaper but in the same breath said but vaping would be healthier for me. That day I started my spreadsheet because I was curious too. In the 15 months I've been vaping, I've saved $1934.81. I've given away about $300.00 in liquids to members less fortunate and I no longer wanted them. Some because I just moved away from fruit vapes, others because the nic was higher and I was dropping my nic level.

I'm one of those that doesn't look at the shiny things. I don't make my own coils or DIY liquids. If I did, I can only imagine how much more I would have saved. As it is, I'm satisfied with what I have and the money factor.

Compare the money to the extra time you'll be around to spend with loved ones.

Forget the cost. It's worth every penny.
