I guess the "regulations" are starting.

Nah... they will just sell three products... unflavored nicotine 6, 12, or 24mg

and give you a free flavor packet to squirt in it when it arrives at your house.

We aint going down without exploring every loophole and putting up a fight...

every single device sold will have a 99 cent flashlight end on it... take it off and it becomes an ecig battery...

That is brilliant.

Can I just say...I got this email and it scared the crap out of me because I really had no idea what they were talking about :( Is custom flavors mean the VV flavors or just the special made ones (like flavor shots and special nic levels) ? I am confused, and is everyone going to be doing this because it completely upsets me already...

It won't affect their regular flavors, just special requests.

I'm not sure I would place 100% Reliance in this.

Because just like we here on the ECF are Smart enough to Think Up clever Workarounds, so are those who write Regulations at the FDA.

Just say'n.

cant fight a war we cant win, USA is not land of the free anymore, its land of the heavily regulated, thats why people all go to china... its corrupted and alot less regulated than USA (besides the internet), u can get away with alot of stuff in china if u know the right people, in USA laws get passed because they want it that way or the big corps want it that way

why i say we cant win the war because even ebay and amazon is stopping people from selling juice then ecig, they dont care if you vape 0nic, government gave them a warning not to allow it to be sold, so anything and everything related or pertaining to ecig is outlawed on ebay and amazon already, future online shops will have to face heavy regulations and taxes, and *gasp* fees, if they do an all out ban of selling ecigs online, its complete GG for online shops which i feel is possible, what we are left is brick and mortars...

its a sad thing but we be lying to ourselves if we didn't see it coming, vape just got too popular and popularity gets peoples attention, to big corps ecigs are a big threat to their empire, to government we are a risk, a risk that its too easy to buy, too easy to get to underages hands, but overall its another revenue stream for them

so my point is, lets hope future regulations aren't severe, we can still keep selling online, we can still keep selling in store, vape helped me quit cigarettes, i couldn't quit, cold turkey, self determination, a bad habit that i had to replace with another habit... ecigs, so im keeping my fingers crossed that we can still sell/buy ecigs online, the convenience and cheapness of buying ecigs was truthfully two of the main reasons i got on ecigs, if ecigs are more expensive than traditionally cigs in the future due to taxes... people will go back to analogs..

This is ridiculous. I'm trying to slowly ween myself off nicotine. With Virgin Vapor's new policies, that's not possible. Going from 6ml to 0 ml (Virgin Vapor offers nothing in between) is way too steep a drop. It seems the real reason for this change is to keep people hooked on their products. It's big tobacco all over again.

I believe what they are trying to achieve is very strict quality controls... example... a bottle labeled 6mg nicotine in a 30/70 PG/VG base has to be exactly those measurements. Most but not all flavorings are PG based, some VG and some alcohol. So in order to hit those measurements every drop of flavoring and what it's based has to be taken into consideration when mixing it.

This can be done... but it requires expensive, precise measuring/dispensing equipment in order to hit the mix correctly every time. It's much more cost effective to mix in bulk than in 15 or 30 ml batches. Doing custom mixes becomes more labor intensive at a per bottle rate... plus requires more measuring equipment, set up, clean up, etc...

Not every vendor is going after AEMSA certification... no one can say with any certainty where the FDA and market will land until the deeming regulations are finalized and implemented. But it sounds like VV is preparing for this based on what we think we expect. If enacted as proposed the custom juice market will collapse as it is today or evolve to where flavoring is sold completely separate from based juice with nicotine.

Glad I DIY
No hoops to jump through:glare:

I was just thinking that "glad I'm starting to make my own!" This sort of thing will kill ECBlends too, since they custom mix to order.

Really, really glad I'm making 95% of my own ejuice now.

Yeah, you are next, if not the main target of regulation.
When the regulators figure out people are DIY'ing E-Juice they will come after that as well. Don't believe me.. Explain the Moonshine business. Gonna get hard to DIY when they go after UNflavored VG and PG fluids and Nic juice. Not to mention the restriction of access to tobacco for making NETs. When they can't get at all the juice sources they will ban the euiptment. Kinda hard to DIY, when VAPES are banned.

Before Clouds of Icarus offered a 3mg e-juice I would buy 1 6mg and 1 0mg and mix.

you can always mix your own premades...

2 6mg + 1 0mg = 3 4mg
1 6mg + 1 0mg = 2 3mg
1 6mg + 2 0mg = 3 2mg

you will just need to buy a bit more
