I think this is a fabulous site, there are tons of information. Though I might advise anyone looking to start vaping, check out the numerous posts Kate has done on the possible health risks of e-juice. I don't want to put words in her mouth but I think the point she brings up is the fact that there is an unknown with what we are doing. As I said it's not for me but I am sure it will suit others just fine!

Well every person here has to decide on whether to stick with what we know isn't healthy in regular cigarettes...or venture out into the virtually unknown world of ecigs....which by reports here, has made a lot of people feel healthier regardless of any possible unknown dangers.

The choice was easy for me but you're right, vaping may not be for everyone.

Two of your three posts are about e-cigs being bad, and the other is about how to start a new thread. Hmmmm..............

If vaping is not for you, then why are you here? There is an implication in your post that since e-liquid has been tested in countries such as New Zealand and not in the US that smoking is a safer alternative. I would find support for that rationale quite interesting as well as laughable.

I believe that vaping is probably safer than smoking. We are testers and as such take a risk with the unknown. Compared with carrying on smoking the odds seem to indicate that vaping is a healthier habit.

All I know is, if vaping is not safer than smoking at least I feel better, breathe better, and have more energy. :) To me that is well worth the risk.

The only ingredients I definitely know are in corporate manufactured tobacco are tobacco, nicotine, arsenic, and carbon monoxide. And, there are 4000 other chemicals I don't know. The decision between the e-juice and the tobacco is an easy one for me.

Plus, the benefits I feel from the liquid as opposed to the tobacco are remarkable.

We might not know exactly what's in the eliquid but we already KNOW that cigarettes cause cancer, lung disease, and strokes. And, we FEEL bad from smoking and it smells horrible.

Nothing like that with the ecig. It MIGHT not be perfectly healthy but it can't be worse than tobacco.

I didn't mean to start a fight.

From what is known now it IS healthier than smoking.

It does NOT contain the 4000 other chemicals in cigarettes.

Truth be known I DID feel better smoking my e-cig compared to analogs.

But my mind is not settled with the unknowns, that's all.

I am sorry if I have offended anyone.

Thanks for clearing that up. Common sense tells me if the choice is analogs or PV's (personal vaporizers) then PV's are definitely much safer. Are they 100% safe? We don't know that yet but the individual main ingredients have been shown to be safe by themselves when used at specfic levels or lower. If you can breathe just air, depending on where you live, that is the best alternative.

PS: my pharmicist told me that PG is used in medical inhalers for what it is worth.
