Back in January I bought a pack of cigs for some reason. I just wanted to try one and see if they were still terrible I guess. I smoked exactly 1/3 of one that day. Since then the pack has been in the glove box of my car. Yesterday while waiting in the parking lot for the wife to finish checking out at wallmart i decided to clean up the car. After collecting all the garbage (including the pack) I walked towards the store and the trash can.

There were 3 pretty rough looking guys in their 50's maybe sitting on the bench smoking while waiting for the bus. I decided I would offer them the 19 remaining cigs instead of pitching them in the garbage. When i was 20 feet away I pulled the pack out of the bag and held it up. I said "Does anyone want ..... "

Holy crap I didn't even get to finish my sentence before I was charged by all three of them.
I couldn't believe how fast they moved trying to shove the other out of the way to get to me first.

It made me laugh out loud right there in front of them.
I gave it to the guy that got to me first and told him to split them between all three.
I stood there watched while they split them up.

As I turned and walked away I heard one say "Wow, real Marlboro" :)
I continued to chuckle as they all thanked me and praised my kindness with "God Bless you".

Normally I wouldn't give away the gift of early death, but these three were so appreciative it made me feel good on an otherwise terrible day.

And knowing I had a pack sitting with 19 left in it for 6 months made me feel good.
I can honestly say I'm done for good.

Even if tragedy struck and I could not vape I am sure I would not go back to smoking.

You did great Tim!!! I don't feel anything is wrong with giving them to people who are not quitting anytime soon anyway.

My Mom was diagnosed with cancer a week after I stopped smoking. It was 8 weeks later that she passed away. Despite all the stress, emotion, and anquish I stuck with my vaping and did not take a cig even when it was offered.

I can't say that I would never go back if vaping was not available. But I do know that vaping takes it's place.

I have a couple packs out in the garage that are 20 months old - I'll bet they're delightful :p

I remember one of the saddest things I've ever seen - when I was a kid, we were up fishing near a reservation, and there were 2 drunken Indians fighting over a cigarette ..... I'm guessing since the advent of the casinos, their lots have improved a bit.

Awww, so glad you had that moment! :) I would have appreciated it too if I were still smoking Tim. Pack of cigarettes cost $11-14 bucks in NYC. I'm so happy I found vaping and Reovil :)
