I've only been smoke free 29 days.

Secondhand smoke smells REALLY GOOD to me.

Since my sense of smell has improved so much I can smell a burning cig across a parking lot! I'm like a bloodhound on the trail.

I rarely crave a cig now. I don't dare take even a few puffs for fear the demon will grab me again.

My mother quit smoking 12 1/2 years ago & she's the same way.
She's never become one of those former-turned-anti-smokers and is always the one who says she doesn't mind sitting next to the smoker, since she loves the smell....coming off the cigarette! (smelling it on the person later is a whole other storyLOL).

And likewise, she doesn't dare take that drag 'cause she knows that smoke demon will drag her right back in. Any discomfort she's feeling now, is nothing compared to her going through the quit process again.

Since I quit on the 29th of last month here are the problems or quirks I have encountered.

I have this strong urge that something is out of place because everyone has to go outside to smoke... even in my own home. And I sit on the couch and vape away.
When driving, the first thing I do is roll the window down... I dont have to do it now, but I still have the urge to do so.
I still feel the "guilt" when I am in a store, and I accidentally vape. Then I realize what I am doing and I am ok with it and laugh it off, but it still catches me off guard.

Since I`ve been vaping I`ve lapsed about 3 times. Many due to batteries or atomisers dying. It`s always better in my head before hand until I start to smoke. The throat hit I`m used to just isn`t there. I even found myself taking primer puffs on the analog.
After I stub it out the guilt kicks in and I vow never to take another drag on the death sticks.

The other way I look at it guys, I SWEAR on this I swear that we were addicted to a ton of chemicals in those things. We were addicted to more than just nicotine, that's why we would still crave one at first. I KNOW I NOW have all those chemicals out of my body after 2 months now and that is why my craving has finally gone away totally for one. So my point is, just by giving into 1 or 2 ciggys and putting those chemicals back in your body, can make you continue to crave one again. So I just DON'T do it. That's my thoughts anyhow....
I couldn't agree more. I love to vape, but I recently went to a concert that I thought I couldn't smoke cigarettes in. I vaped in there while others were smoking and after 5 hours, I almost broke into a run to get to my truck (I left my cigarettes there) and light one up. There has got to be something else addicting in them because I still can't give them up. :(
