Just to pile on to USPS.....

I've generally been more than happy and impressed with delivery from USPS.
Then again I'm waiting on vape mail just now. AZ to OR. Tracking hasn't updated since it left AZ. Scheduled delivery was yesterday. Mebbe on Monday?

This is unusual in my experience, mores the better.
But the USPS website is a WHOLE 'nuther story. What a shining example of a programming POS!

I dare ya to get an answer to what passes for a "Knowledge Base". And they won't let ya ship Parcel Post online? Really?

I'm sure all of our members that are postal employees are super thrilled with this thread.

But if we Can't All Complain about the Post Office, What are we Going to Do?

Complain about the Only People who Can OK Changes to the Post Office? The Congress.

Don't see much of That Going on in any of these "I Hate the USPS" threads.

Just to be contrary, I like my postal workers, now that we are on a first name basis. They are attentive. Now just don't ask me about FedX. They like to drive by the building and toss the package out of the truck in my general direction. At least leave it by the front door. Although we must have a new driver because my last package was delivered. May be it depends upon who is working that day.

Prime example of why the post office is losing money every year.

I ordered a product the shipped from Bloomington, IL (60 miles south of me)

Item routed to Champaign, IL (120 miles south of me)..This is OK though since 80% of my mail is routed to Champaign the day before it arrives at my local post office.

Item then routed to Hazelwood, MO. (350 miles south of me).

Two days after Hazelwood, it arrives at my local post office and is delivered.

4 days for a package to travel 60 miles. Lots of fuel used to transport a package 400+ miles out of route, plus the cost of paying numerous employees for unnecessary package handling.

Maybe we should consider letting the Chinese handle our mail delivery.

I lost $50 worth of Ibtanked gear this past Saturday. Says delivered. I was home and saw the mail carrier drive right by my mailbox. I filed a complaint, but it's says delivered so nothing they can do. I understand their point of view, but still sucks. Somewhere someone has a nice, hand painted carto tank, aluminum matching tip, and 5 cartridges. I hope they are enjoying it.

What sucks is I don't know if I would like a carto tank as this was to be my first, so i am hesitant to order another. I have received MANY orders through USPS the last few months and this has been the only missing piece.

Meh, they bring me shiny stuff from time to time, so they're ok by me, mostly. ;)

I hear ya. Funny thing is, the bills are always on time.

Not really. I have almost had my water cut off because they delivered my water bill to a neighbor's house. I have often also received neighbor's bills but I am better at making sure the bill gets where it goes. Now I periodically check my online banking payee list to see who I have not paid yet this month to make sure everyone gets paid on time.

Lol. Last month my water/sewer bill was torn in half. I got one half one day, the other half two days later....

My lavatube is on the fritz...keeps shorting out. So I order a smoktech Sid. Tracking number says out for delivery. I of course am waiting anxiously all day stalking the mailman. He arrives with no vape mail. I tell him it must be on your truck it was scanned out for delivery. He searches the truck twice and comes up with nothing. He told me to go to the post office, they probably have it there. Of course they have no idea where it is. They will call me IF they find it. So ...... off right now.
Just got a letter. Says they hate you back. Guess we'll call it a draw

Here on Guam USPS does a pretty good job. The problem for us lies in Hawaii. There is only one daily direct flight from Hawaii to Guam and that limits the amount of cargo they may carry as it is a passenger flight. Most recently I placed an order with MBV and it was held up in Hawaii for 5 days. Once it arrived on Guam in the early AM It was out for delivery within 3 hours.

Yay! An "I hate USPS" thread, finally! Seriously, it's no wonder they are going out of business. I ordered a buddy of mine an eGo-V V3 Mega and it took well over a month to get here - after quite a bit of hassle from the local post office. I work a 9-5 job and they always need a signature and try to deliver around 11am. Then they leave the little note, I sign it for them to just leave it next time...and they never re-deliver. Instead, I go to the post office to see if they have it - they don't because it's "on the truck" (at 4pm - when I already received my regular bills).

I've pretty much had to form a routine where I get the note, call the post office and tell them to hold the package there, and then I go pick it up a week later. If I try any earlier than that, it's always "out for delivery" but never gets delivered. Then I finally get my package which is smashed to hell and has a 10% chance that whatever is inside is still going to work. Now I have to wait another week to see what FastTech is going to do about the eGo-V I got that was DOA.

FedEx or UPS...2-day delivery from anywhere in the U.S. Probably about 1-2 weeks international. If they need a signature they leave a note, I sign it, and it's sitting at my door the next day. If I don't want to wait, I take the note to their delivery center and pick it up the same day they tried to deliver it!
