I have a few questions please.

I tried to find answers before making a new post, but I have been reading for hours and still not found answers to some of the questions I had. I am sure they are out there somewhere, so I apologize if these are annoying repeats.

I just started e-smoking three weeks ago and am still getting the hang of things.

I recently bought a mini and a bottle of eliquid to replace the terrible Crown7 I had. I don't want to drip because I am too concerned about making a big mess of things. I have been just adding eliquid to my cartridge everyday. I also bought some fresh empty cartridges to fill. So what I am wondering is:

- How many drops (or ml) do you put into a mini cartridge to properly fill it?

- and how long should I expect that to last (in comparison with # of cigs I guess)?

I have also been reading a lot mentioned about "Bickfords" but I don't quite understand what you people are doing with this stuff.

- Are you adding it to the already flavored eLiquid that you have? Are you making your own eLiquid? Or did you find unflavored eLiquid somewhere?

I have one other question. I keep seeing mention of the term "cut off" in reference to vaping. I don't know what this means but I would like to. I haven't notice my e-cig stop on me while sucking, but that is what I am picturing this means.

- Can someone clarify what "cut off" means please.

Thanks guys. Like I said. Sorry for any repeats, the help is appreciated.

Hey Chaotic,

Lets see if we can help you out...

Depends ... There really is no right answer on this. Some cartridges are packed with more filling than others, etc... What I normally recommend is to fill it up until the filling looks entirely moist. As soon as you see a puddle start to develop on top of the cartridge filling, you know you have gone to far.

Very user dependent .... Trying to compare #'s to real cigs is hard because once someone starts topping off, they just continue to do so as soon as they start to get low. I figure, each top off (3-4 drops normally) lasts about 15-20 minutes of constant vaping.

Bickford Flavors can be found at Bickford Flavors They can be used alone (with no other liquid added) or can be used in conjunction with another eLiquid. The choice is yours. Your atomizer is safe though if you choose to just smoke it alone, you just won't feel a nic hit.

If you suck on your ecig for more then 4-5 seconds, you will see 5 or so flashes on the battery end. This means ... "cool it" .... lol ... Also, if you inhale more then 15-16 times in a minute, the same will occur. I find, the best method is to take 10-15 inhales at any given time, then let the atomizer rest for a few minutes (4-5 minutes) then continue on. This is especially true with mini's, as the atomizers seem to get hotter then their counterparts (pens/cigars)

Hope this helps! Enjoy esmoking Chaotic

Thank you for that info Cashmere! I just took a few drags and I seem to stop naturally at about 3 to 4 seconds, so perhaps that is why I never discovered the cut off thing.

The info about Bickfords is interesting. Does the flavoring alone still create vapor?

I don't think I am ready to completely cut out the nicotine yet. But that is interesting.

I have another question for anyone who has ever filled their cartridges ahead of time. I am wondering if they seem to hold up okay. Do they dry out? How long have you experienced is a safe amount of time to have cartridges prefilled without them drying out?

Can you get an unflavored nicotine liquid? I'm not sure I can give up nicotine completely at this point, but I really don't want to try and home-brew a nicotine base.

e-liq.com has unflavored nic liquid. You might be taking a chance ordering from them though, it's a sister site to e-cig.com. There have been a lot of complaints about them recently.
