Hi all, as title says, I have a serious problem (serious for me at least).

I have been vaping for 6 months now, and through start until now I used this forum as place to find information, but now after reading 100s of posts on this topic I cannot find anything that would help me directly.

My problem started 1 month a go. When I vape PG I get chest pains and short breath! If I reduce PG content it gets better. It is tolerable at 50% PG, 41% VG 9% demi water (VPG base I got from inawera shop). Problem that appears after increasing VG content is that I get a lot of mucus, throat clogging etc.

I tried various mixtures ( NOTE: I am talking about vaping e-liquid BASES ONLY! No flavors were used only base! )

100% PG
90%PG 10% VG
75%PG 25% VG
60%PG 30% VG 10% water
50%PG 41% VG 9% water

maybe even more in between.

I am tolerable guy, I can go with 50/41/9% but I got a lot of mucus so it is far from perfect solution but it is better than what I feel when I vape PG...

So my question is, anyone with same problem here got it solved? Can you recommend me to try some mixture or are my vaping days over :( ?

Thanks

Also drink tons and tons of water. Vaping dries out mucus membranes and will make you dehydrated, which makes you feel odd and make various body parts hurt. Not saying this is your cure, but, goes without saying. I have been hospitalized once for dehydration, and it's no fun. I had shortness of breath, my chest hurt and I was having lots of panic.

I will say mucus build up increased a
Bit. I doubled my water and the problem all but cleared up.
Lots of pollen this time of year, do it
Could just be seasonal.
One last thing
When vaping for a mistic, and ego t, I got some chest pain, but also was unable to take large vapes. I got a ce4 and now it's very smooth.
Possibly a hardware issue?
You should be past the no cigs throat gunk phase by this point.
Hope you figure it out

One thing this Forum can not do is give the best Medical advice. We can't examine you like a visit to the Doctor. Plus there is not likely to be a Sheepskin or a Medical License on our Avatar. If you have a medial problem with vapiing see a Doctor ASAP and slow down or stop vaping. I find myself Vaping more than I smoked. If you do that to an extreme you will probably have a problem.
Best advice slow down reduce you nicotine but above all else see a doctor.
I am not a Doctor. Was a First Responder and have been in advanced First Aid for a long time. I've had Phenomena two times and a bunch of times I have had Viral Infections in my respiratory system more times than I can count.

Best advice I can give if it is making you sick stop and see a Doctor.

If you use above a 16mg count on nicotine then that could be a problem. Above 16 is considered more in the toxic level. That is what I was told when I got my gear.

Do you vape all day? What nic level? What kind of equipment are you using?

Yes, I vape all day no analogs (only sometimes with coffee.. very rare), my nic level is 18mg, equipment I have are very different and I tried it on all of them: EGO W, CE4, CE2, LAVATUBE 3-6V, dual coil clearo and carto...

I really dont drink much of water but even when I do it doesnt make much of a difference... tried that...

Its not seasonal, as soon as I try without PG no problems in chest or breath shortness... and its not hardware related I tried it on at least 5 different atomizers and different voltages...

Thank you all for post and hope to hear from you again with more ideas....

I get the same thing- kind of a lump in my throat that won't go away easily. Drinking water helps it somewhat, but what I ended up doing was adding some liquid sorbitol to my mix. I'm probably the only person in the world that does this, and there is no data on the safety of it, but I've been doing it for almost 2 years and I ain't dead yet.

Sorbitol is a humectant like VG or PG- it's thinner like PG, and not nearly as sticky. It's used much like VG, and is safe for ingestion, and can be used internally as an enema. I don't know why but my logic was that if it's safe enough to eat, or use as an enema then IMHO it was safe enough for me to use in vaping.

My mix is VG plus 10% sorbitol, 5% flavor, 5% water. If you've tried absolutely everything else it's something to look into. I don't know who will ship to Bosnia, but if you google liquid sorbitol it's a 70% aqueous solution. Sometimes animal supply stores will have it as well.

Nothing wrong with that! I love 100% VG juices.

What I would do, is try 100% VG for awhile and see if the problems you are having with VG persists. It's possible your reaction to VG is just an initial shock to your system or something.

Who's juices do you use?

That is what I will do, maybe try and throw a bit of destilled water with VG see if I can ease it up on clogging me

Rumor has it that heathers heavenly vapes tastes as good as PG mix. They shipped to me today. I will gladly let you know. Do you steep your juices? Thats helps a lot

will appreciate if you remember me and let me know the feedback on that product...

Dont know what it means to "steep" juices :(

Who's juices do you use?

I'm just getting started so I've only had a few. From what I have found, VG tastes better and has way more vapor. Also, there is less throat hit, and I'm not a huge fan of throat hit.

So far I have tried a few from AVE and MtBakerVapor.

MtBakerVapor offers all of their juices in 100% VG, and they have a HUGE selection. I have tried the Ecto Cooler, Double Apple, and Sweet Tart. The Ecto Cooler and Sweet Tarts, taste exactly like the real thing. They were all great, and I am probably going to be doing most of my shopping through them. :) Mt Baker Vapor - Electronic Cigarettes, USA made E Juice, and Accessories

From AVE I have tried, Gorilla Juice and Boba's Bounty. The Boba's Bounty I know is 100%VG, but the Gorilla Juice I'm not too sure on. Both are delicious! Alien Visions E-Juice

But my favorite 100% VG is Vapers Choice RY4. It's my all day/go to vape. Hardly tobaccoy, with a very smooth caramel and slight vanilla taste. I haven't tried any other juice from Vapers Choice, but their RY4 is probably the best juice I have ever tried. All of their juices are 100% VG. You can get Vapers Choice through ecigsupply.com.

Where do you buy your 100% VG juices?

I had a reacton to the Gorilla Juice. I think you're right. Unortunately I will know if it isn't 100%. Currently I am smoking. Cant use VG base. At MtBakerVapor do usse use 100% vg or 70 vg 30 distilled? I didnt think vapors choice was 100% VG. Wll double check.

I mix my own juices and from what I saw, most suppliers offer 100% VG base. I read somewhere that 100% VG base doesnt mean its 100% pure VG, if someone can confirm this...

Your right. Even if they use 100% vg base and 100% vg nic, the flavorings can contain pg. I can't tolerate even the small amount of pg that flavorings can add. That's why I also got into DIYing using only alcohol based flavorings. There may be better, but the best I've found so far are the super concentrated alcohol based ones from Vaping Zone.

http://www.vapingzone.com/DIY-Flavoring-Alcohol_Base/cid-59-1.html

They say to use 2.5% but for 100% vg I use 3 to 3.5%
