I don't want to stick a needle in anyone's eye but the tape thingy, duct or heat shrink or electrical is going to potentially cause your carts to wear prematurely, especially if you don't peel the original label first.

The carto acts has a heat sink for the electrode/wick. If you in any way seal any more of that heat in you may not get the greatest results. At ome point you would find it more difficult to determine if the carto is getting too warm resulting in burn-out.

'Apparently'.... if you put the carts in the fridge for about 10 minutes then you can just peel the stickers off without a bunch of the goop left on it, i still need to try it.

this does work well. ive done it to a few carts.
5 min in the freezer, then peel. most of the glue comes off w/ the sticker.
the rest can be quickly wiped off w/ the nail polish remover or goofoff.

but i tend to leave toothmarks all over my carts so i dont like teeth on bare metal.

Be careful if you remove the original stickers off the cartos and vape them bare. Those puppies can get really hot, especially if you draw on them too much in a short period of time.

Heres a fix, unwrap the carto, and to get the sticky off, use some fine grit sandpaper to get it off and shinin like no other....to take a step father, put the threads in some electrical tape, then put that taped part in a drill chuck, hhold the sandpaper in a U shape around the carto, hold drill w other hand, turn on for 10-15 secs and VOILA!!!! A shiny silver carto filled w peach cobbler goodness!!!

If its too hot after, take a condom top from a carto, cut the top off and put around top of carto...again, voila!
