I bought this eGo-v and love it so far.
(but it has no brand. possible knock-off)

So i wanted to get something very legit like joyetech or Halo triton which is getting so much good reviews around.

Is it worth to switch over or just stick with the one I bought for $40 from local Tabacco shop?

Better hardware must be better like its polished better or has better technology.. right..?

Where are you in south bay? There's Vape Guys in Gardena, Vape Place on Artesia in Redondo Beach, Pure Vapor on the corner of 190th and Hawthorne. There are others too. I've only been to Vape Guys and they are nice and knowledgeable. I'd stick with an Ego or something more robust but that's just me.

The Halo Triton uses an 808 and vgo/kgo connection, so evods and protanks won't fit without an 808 to 510 or ego adapter. But the batteries and tanks are first class and have been kicking some .... for over 2 months. Love them.

And many B&M shops do carry them; in fact, someone posted in the Halo sub-forum here that the B&M re-sellers actually got in the the Triton Twist batteries before they were on the Halo Website! There's a stickied thread in the Halo sub-forum listing all of the re-sellers in every state.

Once the wall chargers and usb chargers are back in stock, the Triton Starter kits will be available again on the website.

i started vaping with halo. first the G6 then the triton.
i really liked the triton at first, but i did have leaking issues.
if you plan to just vape at home, and you can keep the triton tank standing, then go for it. however if you want to take it out and about with you, then you might have some leaking issues....i did.

i ended up buying a provari mini, and i really like the kanger protank on it.

*just fyi halo has plans to release a new type of tank for the triton series*

I had the triton for a week or so and then sold it...

Loved it and it got me off of the sticks but for the money and versatility my vote would be to step up to an Itaste MVP

The battery life is insane and not having to worry about the pitfalls of adapters was beneficial IMO

Halo does ship quick but is also often out of stock and the use of proprietary connections just bugs me.

"Buy our batteries...now you can only use our tanks...might as well buy some of our juice while youre here...."

Again I loved my triton and have no regrets for my purchase but if I had it to do over again I would have bought the MVP first.

Then if and when you do have a few devices you can use whatever tank on whatever device you wish.

You love your Ego V you have no reason to change bar curiosity. All Ego batteries are made in China, the brand names might have a better quality control so you are less likely to get a dud, but if your Ego V works fine then it is as good as a branded one.

You don't need a new battery, if you want to buy more stuff then that's cool, many people here enjoy collecting different systems.

The Triton batteries are not compatible with ego/510 hardware, if you want to use the delivery devices you already have an adapter will be needed.
The Triton tank is a Kanger T2 long wick with a 'modified' base to fit the triton battery, T2 replacement heads fit/work/are the same as the triton.
Whatever you've heard or experienced (good & bad) with a T2 will be the same with the triton tank.

i have triton 1300mAh, it's not that much larger in size than 650mAh. I expected a pretty large size, but that wasn't the case. They also carry 400mAh version. Fully charged it lasts me for about 4ml of e-liquid, and was totally worth it. it's an vGo connection but also takes 808 threaded carto/clearomizers. Over those you can put on a cone if you're going for that "seamless" look. Large works pretty well with driptips.

FWIW, the 808's have phenomenal battery life. I like many others started out with "major" brands, and halo batteries blow stuff like V2 away.
