Symmetry anyone? I've been trying to nab that builders utopia, you know, the kind where you get that almost overwhelming 1 second pull. Well this one definitely overwhelms me with 1 second pulls, it almost feels like the vapor is re-condensing in my mouth, which may sound bad but it's actually quite a good thing (to me). I never thought I'd see the day where I'd be taking less than 1 second pulls, and still get that nice, dense, and flavorful cloud. I'm basically sipping on this setup compared to most, it's almost magical how fast it produces.

~It's a dual 24ga super-nano coil setup
~Wrapped 11 times on itself...perfectly
~angled slightly lower than 45°, I think this helps keeping it wet and prevents dry hits.
~.2 Ω's
~ Wicked with my own patented "noose wicking". :)p just kidding, but it is a hitch knot cinched around the coil and using the tails to tightly block the "deck end" of the coil, and for me, it's much tighter that dragon wicking, and turns these coils into absolute cannons, there's no expanding of the cotton when it's knotted, then I tuck the fluffiest cotton I can make under everything but the opening of the coil cannons).
~This is the only coil I've ever made that doesn't give a crap if you flood it, which is good because it vapes probably a drop per pull. I drip about 8-12 drops in, and I get about 8-12 pulls lol, so she's a thirsty little thang. It is efficient though, using dual 1/8th" airholes (still warm with these airholes), when I open the cap to see if it's dry, it's usually bone dry, almost completely white cotton, which is surprising because I don't get dry hits too often, usually just a noticable lack of vapor. If you try this get ready to gets your lungs' .... kicked!

Here's that "noose wicking" and how I do it, basically just a hitch knot around the coils, that way you can really cinch'er down.

The pic of the vapor really doesn't do it justice, it looks like a freakin flame thrower! Try it out, you'll like it.
***Post your recent perfect coils too :vapor:***

I'm a pro at making nanos. I actually hold the wire I'm wrapping and the wire I'm wrapping onto with plyers. I've even made a 20 wrap 32 gauge around 32 gauge super nano coil before using this method.

Same here! :D I actually setup two woodclamps and tie my gauge wire between both of them so I can have my hands free while I do it. I've been able to wrap 26ga on 30ga that way. It doesn't work as well when the diameter is that much smaller, but I still did it! :p

the build looks nice, from what i can tell. but im having trouble viewing your photos. most of them are half shots with no discernable image. am i the only one? this build sounds mighty interesting, especially the wicking technique. would you be able to post some more photos of the wicking process?

Oh sorry brother maybe your java or photo viewer isn't jiving. I'm basically tying a cow hitch knot around my coil like on this site:

I'll post a non-imgur pic maybe that's what's messing up.

Nothing fancy, I've just found that a tight wick is really what makes a nano coil, and if you've ever seen a dragon wick get "pushed" away from the coil that steals vapor. This is a good way to keep the wick locked on there good. And the profits are vapor! :p

Hope this helps :D

You guys like the dragon?

Yeah it's a hell of a coil, once you figure it out lol. I had a roughy time trying to get them down, mine would constantly dry hit, and fail before I started this method. The key for me is tight wicking and plenty of juice around the coil. *whispers* not my favorite coil though, just for those cloud chasing days.

Nice looking wraps. Great looking clouds coming off there.

Thanks man :D , I'm relatively new to this 24ga, and it's a dream to work with. After struggling with 29-28ga over the past year, I feel like a master artisan with this stuff! So malleable, it's great for my vapers OCD :p.

So finally bit the bullet and bought my first mod. Got the nemesis clone in the mail today and decided to try out my Helio's again. Didn't really have much flavor or vapor with my Zmax like everyone raved about. It was good but not like everyone was posting about on my vv/vw maxed at 15watts and 1.5ohm. So I open the box put in my Sony VTC5 and started my build. I used this exact nano type wick for my first build, except used 28g single nano at .9ohm(wanted to ease into sub-ohm). Soaked the cotton...and here goes...OMG! My vaping life is changed forever!! Thanks for the tips!

Now I just need to clean and build my new KFL+ V2 and my Fogger 4.0+. What a great weekend it's going to be!!

Thanks for the clarification. I certainly want to reap those profits! I love the knotted wick idea. Because yes, I have certainly noticed the wick separating from the coil on my dragon builds. Resulted in some gnarly side effects. But anyway your vapor looks outstanding. Must. Have.

No problem man! Right on, there really is a magical difference between regulated and mechanical mods as you found out. The difference is: you can do whatever your heart desires! Alot of people debating trying them out are afraid of blowing up their battery, but the reality is if you have a 30 amp battery you can't go wrong unless your .1ohming or something crazy. (you have a vtc5 so it's pretty much invincible :), I recently got one to try them out, changing from my vtc4's, and they're darn good! A slight improvement, which is amazing because the vtc4's were already epic).

They're just a means to connect your battery to your RDA, using pure logic, and no restrictions. I wish I had someone to show me this post because it's pretty much my favorite (my other favorite is 5 wraps of 24/28ga on 5/64th's drill bit, this gives you bigger vapor but just a little bit slower, not by much though, and it doesn't dry out/burn as fast, it can hold alot more juice in the coil than super-nano's. 1/16th drill bit is a happy medium between them both at 6-7 wraps).

~Now your addicted :p, trust me you'll be debating spending 100$ on battery tubes soon, it's a madness chasing that low volt drop, and more importantly a good button. (I have a copper nemesis clone, which is darn good, but the button can be a little crunchy sometimes) If I were you I'd check out a stingray clone by infinite, or the HCigar clone of the turtleship v2 if for some reason you don't like your nemesis anymore (which is a darn good clone). These clones are the best mechanical mods I own (other than my authentic red copper stingray), infinite makes absolutely amazing clones, some are actually better than the authentics. Just my :2c:!

Vape on brother! :vapor:

Dang that thing looks insane. I bet that thing is a juice .....

Sent From My Galaxy Note 3
Oh it is man, she sucks the juice like Monica Lewinsky . I'd say it uses about 1 drop per pull, yeah, because 8 drops will give me about 8 pulls. It sounds like you'd be dripping all day, but if you have any nicotine (I use 12mg) it makes you put it down after 1 or 2 hits, so I'm not necessarily chain-vaping on this setup lol.
