I just broke a record.

Today I just broke a personal 40 year record. For the first time in 40 years I have gone 24 hours with no tobacco.
I was concerned how I would make it this morning. A smoke and coffee is my normal breakfast. Now I can have a vape and coffee and get on with the day.
I know that e-cigs are not being pushed as a stop smoking device, but I can see that they are very good for those that really wish to stop or at least cut down on tobacco consumption.
This little 510 is a dream come true, even if the liquids do not taste exactly like good tobacco.

This is wonderful news, its so hard to quit and I really wish you luck. Just take it one day at a time my friend.

Huge congratulations, Steve! You are a real inspiration for those of us right behind you. I've smoked a pack a day for 37 years and turned into a "serial quitter" over the past five. Since other NRTs, anti-crave meds, or plain old cold turkey didn't work, I had little hope for PVs. However, after just casually vaping for the past couple weeks, I know this is different.

Today, I made the decision to get rid of the analogs for good and placed a couple hundred $$$ worth of orders out there. As soon as the goods arrive, I'll be joining you in the permanently tobacco-free club. Keep us updated on your progress!

Today was my first day of working without tobacco, and it was not too bad. I am a field tech, repairing computers, and today I had to be in private homes to fix computers. I did not miss those analogs at all. So far, I have had one analog since Saturday at 11 AM. I smoked about 3 puffs and threw it out. It just did not taste good to me, so I am not going to count that as a relapse.
It felt good going into the user's home knowing that I did not smell like an old ashtray.

Hi Steve -- Way to go! I'm in the IT field too (software support) and one of my quitting challenges is that I work from home full-time where I can smoke whenever I want. But it wasn't always that way and I remember the shame and dread about coming back into the office worried about smelling like an ashtray.

In one of my last quits, I realized that I had been actually avoiding social situations only because I knew my body, hair, clothes and breath probably wreaked of tobacco. You can tell there are many more of us out there feeling the same way based on the number of people holding their cigarettes outside their car windows when they are stopped at traffic lights.

It's so great to hear that the analog tasted nasty and you threw it out. You continue to inspire. Keep sending the updates please!

Congratulations!!!!

My last analog was on Friday night when I plugged my new 510 in to charge overnight. I haven't looked back! I have to say the first day was tough. I am not sure if it was the motion or what but I kept reaching for the lighter to light up the e-cig ( I have now hidden all of the lighters)

Keep up the good work!!!!
