I've actually "bummed" a cig from my buddy a couplle times in the last year, only to light it, say, "Nuh-uh" and pass it back to him. I didn't do it from craving, but rather to reinforce my choice.

Even though I've only been vaping for a little over a month, I too have lit up an analog in order to reinforce my choice. Each time and there was only 2, I hated it after the first couple of puffs. I realized that I didn't like it as much as vaping, but also that I had chosen the right path to quitting for good.

i relapsed on analogs a tiny bit when a first started vaping in September. All I had were crappy KR8s. they got the job done during the day and most nights...except when booze reared its ugly head. i had to fight too hard when teh booze was in my system. but now that i have some better equipment (vv ego, smokbox on the way soon), cigs are nowhere near what i crave. i want big huge tasty plumes of vapor.

what is weird though... i never realized how tobacco smoke seemed to "go" with everyhting. after meals, mornings, drinking booze, eating sweets, spicy food, it didnt matter. now with all the juice flavors, i find myself "pairing up" different food and drinks with different ejuice. its a bit of a hassle if you let yourself go overboard with it lol

I had a very similar experience as the original poster a few weeks after switching from analogs to vaping. I had once cigarette, very worried that it would be wonderful and I would go back to it, but it turned out to be what solidified the end of my smoking days forever.

Of course, it tasted and smelled gross - the smoke was stinging my eyes, it was disgusting. It fogged up the room with so much smoke that it was insane. But, here's the clincher - it had no throat hit! LOL! Didn't expect that. I guess the way I draw on my LR 1.5-equipped eGo is just much stronger and more satisfying than an analog. I was trying to take huge puffs off of the cigarette just to feel anything, and it was as if it wasn't even lit.

That was over a year ago, and just last week I finally threw away the 5 packs of American Spirits I had from an unfinished carton when I switched to vaping.

I've been vaping about a month. I don't smoke at home or on the drive to and from work. But for some reason work was the hardest time. I would crave real cigarettes while at work and have to take a break and smoke one no matter how bad it tasted. I think it's mostly psychological. I used to find excuses like taking out the trash or whatever to go have a cigarette. But now I think I was using the cigarette as an excuse to get out of the office and masking that behind taking out the trash. But, I never woried about it much. I just smoked a few less every day. Today was my first completely analog free workday. So wish me luck.

Good Luck! And, if you don't already, take a Vape break at work. It's like you wrote, sometimes it's about getting outside and taking a break from the work.

I haven't stopped smoking traditional cigs completely, but as of now I have no more than two a day, down from a pack a day thanks to vaping. I've noticed though I enjoy them in general, I no longer like the taste, and sometimes they make me feel sick. I think that as I smoke less and less, I finally won't be able to stand it anymore. Right now, it's like putting up with an awful taste, like you would cough syrup, to satisfy the addiction want. Because truly and honestly ecigs don't feel the same, and sometimes I just want what I want.

Sometimes it's not the smoking that we miss, bro... it's the times we had.. the fond memories. One of my best memories was my girlfriend hittin' the $1,600 jackpot on the slots at the charlestown casino in WV. It was my birthday and I didn't win anything, but the thrill was stellar awesome. The whole night was that golden drunk.. cocktail waitresses bringin' me drinks, chain smokin' indoors (in maryland you couldn't smoke at all).

I realized it would still be the same kind of awesome if I had my ecigs, but it was something that worried me at first.

I felt like vaping wasn't all that until I found the set up (PV, CE2's and juice) that gave me both chest hit and vapor that matches smoking. Keep looking for your perfect vape....it's out there. : )

Ugh! Had my first analog since early December last week. One of the most horrifying things I've ever experienced. Absolutely disgusting.

Nice thing to think about when you accidentally burn a carto... it's still a more pleasant taste than tobacco IMO.

I'll stick with Vaping for now. I'm in no rush but I've cut my nic from 18 to ~8 recently and I'm much happier on the road to a substance free lifestyle.
