And I'm really digging it.

I went through tons of the posts here and on the other popular ecig forums and came to the conclusion I needed to go cheap and usable to start with.
So I put my order into Rocky Mountain Vapor on Saturday and got my starter kit Thursday evening and I've been digging the hell out of it.

Knowing what to expect from having stopped smoking in the past using NRT methods of course the first few times I used the 510 I was craving the real thing, still am somewhat, but I have smoked maybe 4 real cigs since starting using the 510.

Starting off on the 24mg liquid was really my only choice since I have a 2-1/2 pack a day habit and been smoking for 22 years now. But it almost hits the spot, more so than any other NRT I've used, and I've used them all.

So I got 2 bottles of Liquid from RockyMtnVapes along with my order, a 10mL Cola flavor, and a 50mL RY4 flavor, and now realize I wish I'd gone with less size and more flavor choices. The Cola is meh and the RY4 is a tad bit too sweet, in fact both remind me of cotton candy, but I can live with both, easily.

Lastly, my wife was very eager to try these. But every single time she hits the thing she gets little to no vapor and has a huge coughing fit saying her throat burns so badly. She's a smoker and smokes as much as me if not more and I wonder if she's pulling straight lung hits instead of doing the mouth pull then inhale, which I found to be my most comfortable method.

But again I'm enjoying the hell out of getting my nic and not having to smoke, or use other tabacco products, or NRT to break the habit.

I'm very sensitive to PG which most e-liquids have as a base for vapor production. I have learned and since make my own juice for the most part and use VG as much as possible, usually 100% of the time.

Your wife may be either alergic or sensitive to PG and therefore should only be vaping e-juice with VG. The higher the nicotine content the more throat hit too which could also be a cause for her coughing. What you might want to try is getting a bottle of VG (USP Grade) and mixing it 50/50 with one of the flavors in a small bottle and have her try that. If it's better for her, then she just may be sensitive to PG.

Same here. I get coughing fits from using PG. I now just mix my own using mostly VG. A tad bit of PG mixed in for the throat hit.

Thanks for the suggestion I may end up looking at trying to find a VG based liquid for her to try then as I don't think I have anything in the house that would work for "measuring drops" into one of the extra carts I have.

She didn't really like any of the flavors I have now and wanted to try something more fruity.

But I'm thinking the 24mg strength is a tad heavy, even for myself as a heavy smoker, I figured I could "cut" it a bit when I bought it, but again running into the problem of what to use to store/distribute it in that wouldn't make a mess.

I'm adverse to using anything that stored another chemical in it even after a thorough washing.

Thank you for the welcome.

If anyone has any bottle kits they prefer or are economical to purchase or even those that can be bought in local stores for storing and applying liquid please don't hesitate to suggest.

Thinking they got to sell something at the pharmacies.

Hi!

I too was a 1.5+ pack a day smoker, and after reading so much on here before I started I made the very lucky guess at 24 - 26mg e-juice and it's been perfect. I really lucked out.

My bf who at most is only a 1/2 pack a day or less smoker has just been able to reduce his analogs, probably because I'm not smoking like a chimney anymore. When I hand him a new flavor to try on my 510 he *coughs* reflexively, every single time. I finally asked him how he was inhaling it. He inhales straight to his lungs. I try to get him to pull the vapor into his mouth, then inhale it... it seems to be a foreign concept to him.

So... after a lifetime of smoking I actually thought about how I inhaled my analogs. I never did the direct to lung inhale. I'd draw into my mouth, then inhale. Maybe that's a big part of why the transition was so easy for me.

Being the impatient person I am, while waiting for the various e-liquids I've ordered to arrive, I looked around my kitchen for little bottles to cut some of my juice with VG. I found a few boxes of 4-pack food coloring. The bottles are .25 oz which is (I'm horrid at math and conversions) a little more than 7.3ml? (someone please correct me here  ) The bottles actually look about the same size as the 5ml e-liquid bottles.

Anyway - I figured, all washed rinsed and dry, those little bottles aren't perfect - but there is a dropper top on the bottle, they have color coded tops (red, blue, yellow, green) and in a pinch I could use them to dilute liquids, mix flavors together, etc.

I also found several nice glass bottles with droppers from various cosmetic facial serums, and a few brand new marked droppers from Children's Medications in my bathrooms. I gave them a thorough soaking, scrubbing and drying and they now sit in one of my ever-growing "vaping" boxes :)

The local craft supply stores that sell cake decorating/candy making stuff usually have small clear plastic bottles with dropper-tops and even bottles of VG.

I'm enjoying vaping so much more than I ever did smoking!! Weird, I always said how much I loved smoking. It's been nothing short of miraculous how easy it was for me to love this and not have any urge to smoke analogs.

Having my morning coffee and "vape" sitting down inside is, well - awesome :)
Not having to go outside to smoke in the freezing cold is awesome!

I too vape 24 mg juice, and it is also too strong for my wife who just started so now she is vaping 12-18 mg and she is fine and has not smoked in two days. So that is probably all you need to do. If you dont mind waiting strictlyejuice.com has cheap juices you can try w/free shipping over 10 bucks. Hope this helps. GL and Welcome!!!
