I'm pretty new to the forum. This is my first actual post to the community. I just got a magma. And I totally understand that I was going about things all wrong. I went from a vision spinner and egos to a nemesis and vaped with .4 dual coils. then in the last 6 months I've been obsessed with .2 to .4 and all about vg juices and just why.

I totally realized that that's crazy. Like I got good flavor and a decent enough hit and just like instantly understood my perspective on vapor production was flawed.

I have had a kayfun, I loved the flavor but it just didn't hit good enough. Now I understand It doesn't need to be a fog machine. I have have never had a genny style rba. I guess I never pursued this kind of a vape.

I'm still gonna keep some of my rdas at low ohms. But I have a new appreciation for what vaping can be.

It's great when we get an understanding of what vaping means for us. IMO it really doesn't matter what that turns out to be, if it works for you it's all good. When I had been vaping for 6 months I was using CE4s and cartos at 8 watts, had been lowering my nicotine levels for a few months and I was thrilled with my progress after quitting smoking for 37 years. 2 years later it's a different experience for me, but I'm still thrilled.

Vape on my friend and lets hope in a couple of years we are all still vaping :)

We all here got in to vaping for one reason - kick the cancer sticks. It just so happen along the way it became fun and turned in to a hobby for others. Back then I think none of the old timers would've thought it would grow this fast and advance as it has. Even to the point of flavor connoisseur, vaping lounges, and vapor contests. This 1st time I saw a mech mod I thought it was a light saber store I mistakenly clicked on.

I am just now trying my first true "cloud chaser" I even got a 100w sigeli in anticipation of trying to blow some big clouds... but guess what.. after I blow a few clouds, I put my kayfun lite topper on and vape happily at 1.4 ohms 17 watts for the rest of the day. Better flavor than a Doral too!

I can see the allure of cloud chasing. But a .8 ohm build on a mechanical, 1.4 on a VW is all I NEED.. the rest are just toys.

Different folks....
I like fiddling with different setups, and my preferences are definitely not typical.
Heck, as I sit here typing, I have on my left a REO/Cyclone, and on my right, a ProVari with a Cartotank. Yep, I still like my cartotanks! LOL.

Anyway - It took a little while, but I finally got a setup working REALLY well that was dual coil, about 0.5 ohms, with big airflow. And you know what? I didn't like it. I just can't hit like that the way I like - I prefer a "mouth-to-lung" hit, much tighter draw, and denser vapor.

I'll keep trying new toppers, and occasionally maybe a new build or wick...but I've simply ruled out a lot of the more popular new stuff as it's built specifically for big air, big lungs, big clouds...

New, but not interested in clouds all that much. I like enough vapor to trick my brain, and enough flavor to keep me satisfied, with some semblance of simplicity (the closer I can get to "buy a pack" simplicity, the better).

But, like they always say, whatever works for you is always the best option. I think it's good to let your interests and vaping needs evolve naturally.

clouds or a lil puff, it's all about the flavor and enjoyment for me...I'm not a "cloud chaser" I dont' have the young lungs for that..but for me most of the flavor is on the exhale, so a small yummy warm cloud works for me.

I've tried those cloud chasing drippers the kids use up at the B&M and *cough cough*

it's all about what works for you and is enjoyable to you (and in my case, keeps me off the analogs) :):vapor:

Im never been interested in "cloud chasing", I'm into big flavor! But I will say this... There is something to seeing a good amount of vapor to mimic exhaling with a stinkie. I've had toppers that put out very anemic clouds and found that didnt satisfy me (older cigalikes im looking at you) as much as toppers that put out thick ones (Reo, IBTankeds) Im not a sub ohmer either so Im just using regular ohms.

Seeing it just makes me go "...ahhhh that was nice!"

I love me some clouds, Not some in your face boom this is insane clouds but the THICK vapor, Full lungs amazing vapor. I recently moved to a mech with a .31 Dual Coil wicked with Rayon for ....s and giggles and man the thing is amazing. I can blow them Chimney Clouds to show my friends or take a smaller pull and just enjoy the flavor none of my tanks can mimic.

Thats why i love vaping. You can tweak it to your preference and stay off them coffin nails!

It's what keeps you off the tobacco that's the key. I used to be all about Kayfuns and ProVaris but now they collect dust. I like mech mods and sub-ohms builds; out and about on my REOs and at home with the others. I have no interest in regulated but I used to only use them.

One day I'll probably use them again and the mechs will sit.

There is no right or wrong.

In my experience, it's all about juice saturation, whether or not it's in a tank or dripper. A tank generally doesn't have as much saturated cotton in the airflow.. so, you're vaping not only the vapor part, but some of the "fumes" from un-heated juice... it does change considerably. I've taken that theory to my tanks, and have it "Y" off as a sort of reserve area. My kayfun is built filling the chimney with cotton, but leaving just a sliver over the juice intakes.. it looks like a single coil on a juiced up cotton pillow. flavor is on par or, IMO, better than a dripper. Of course, a dripper has more vapor and airflow.

I'm only looking for a cloud like I got when I was smoking analogs.
I only vape fruit flavors to help me not think about analogs.
August was 1 year with a few slips along the way....as most have had.

I need to keep stealthy and that's my biggest hang up...not that I'm afraid of what others think, but would like to keep my job ;)

Most of my builds are fog machines, although some much greater than others. I had one RDA at work today at .3. It was a good vape, but was quite cool considering that I had a huge wide-bore top cap on it. I got home and felt like something bigger and warmer, so I built two other RDAs at .09. Yes, the clouds are insane, but I am getting high after a few hits of 3mg e-juice. I like the way it feels. And I like the taste of the thick dense vape.

It really is just about staying off the coffin nails but the overgrown kid (I still play video games daily at 37) in me still chuckles like Beavis and Butthead when I blow a cloud so big I can't see past it. That is a joy analogs never gave me, not too mention most of my PV's blend right in with my Mater Replicas lightsaber collection. :D
