When I found out about e-cigs and bought the ego for myself I let my dad and grandpa try it to see if it would be something they would be interested in. They both took to it immediately and asked me to get one for each of them. I did so not knowing if they would really be able to make the switch. To my surprise both of them took to it right away. My dad had been smoking for 25 years and my Grandpa had been smoking for 60 years.

My Grandpa passed away October 1st of this year after battling Pancreatic Cancer. However, I am proud to say that the last couple months of his life he had not one analog. He was attached to his ego at all times. Below is a picture I took of my mom and my Grandpa about a month before he left us. You can see the ego in his hand.. lol...

My dad still has not had one analog since he got his ego. If both of these men who really enjoyed smoking can make the switch I honestly think anyone can!

But getting in that defiant "hurrah!" against being owned by cigarettes before you go is something amazing you were able to give him, and that he ran with.

Ha, yep.. that was his attitude with all things in life. Defiant described him perfectly. That is why I was worried he wouldn't be able to make the switch.
