:( Not sure what I did wrong, but I killed an atty today. Its deader than a doornail! I had been vaping on an inexpensive LR306 since I first got my REO. I had switched juice a couple of times. (I usually vape Desert or Carmel) kind of back and forth between the two. I decided last night to give my atty an alcohol bath, then this morning rinsed and dried it according to posts I had found here on the sight. I put it back on before heading out to work today, and at first everything seemed AOK then all of a sudden no heat, not warm, nothing. Battery was fine and full of charge but atty was dead. I was lucky I had purchased some other ones that came more highly recommended and more pricey actually. So the day was not ruined. But I don't think I will be getting anymore of those ones again. And I think I need to really go back and study more about cleaning them.

Don't feel bad. One just died on me today too. It had been going for like a month and a half and worked fine one minute nothing the next. It happens! probably just its time.

If you rinsed it and dried it all in the morning then that's probably the cause. Although, it just wouldn't taste or perform right if that was the case. Anyways, it helps to get all the water out of it after you rinse it off. Then you let it air dry for 1-2 days.

Did you prime it as well? To tell you the truth, depending on the atomizer. It can die after a short time but, others will lasts for months. What was the brand of the 306 and the others you are talking about.

It was a bauway, and you are probably right I did not dry it long enough. I did prime it though. I am using a cisco now. Live and learn.

Let me recommend a solution say it with me HH357:closedeyes:
HH357 HH357 yes pmoraldo I have one and was using it last night while the 306 was in the bath. I am still learning to make friends with the 357 it vapes a little on the hot side for me, but I'm still trying that learning curve I have not given up on it. It is just different and I have not yet perfected my use with it.

Yeah, Bauways are crappy atomizers IMO. I had one for a total of three days when I started vaping. Anyways, the reason why it's a bad idea to have water or anything in there. Is that it makes the atomizer gets hotter. Found that out while trying to do dry burns with one of my atties. And your right, next time. Just let it dry out for a little and you should be fine.

Yeah, I've got two 357s that I really want to like, but I keep flooding the darned things.. People suggest the dry squonk, but it just doesn't work for me. If I can look at it, I can get it right, but that seems like a hassle, since I dry squonk my Cisco 306s all the time...

On the topic of killing atties, I pulled off my drip tip two nights ago, and the outer sleeve came with it. I'm lucky it didn't cause a short... Oh well, it was a six week old 306, so it was about time to move on anyway...

Got the HH356 yesterday and been learning on it all day...Got the longer one so it sticks up on my Reo Mini more than I like but that's the way it goes...works great- nice vapor and taste! Other attys die on my all the time. I have a bucket of over 25 attys from this past year (someone was wanting bad ones so I kept them but don't recall who it was)...some ohm out at 0- wll most do, but some ohm out to like 80~150 or more- strange. Most just up and quit suddenly when they go and there's no rhyme or reason for when they die.

I saw a long time ago that Old Goat was taking them. I don't know if he still is or not.

Don't feel bad, if you got more than a week out of a Bauway you did pretty well.
IMO they are the worst of the worst.

If you want an inexpensive atomizer that works pretty well the genuine Joye in bulk from Vapor Kings fit the bill.
10 pack for under 50 bucks is nice.
To be honest though the 510 version is much better than their 306 but either is 5X better than a Bauway I think.

Sounds like your on the right track with the Cisco Spec or the HH-357 they are both great.
If I can make my new Cisco spec bridge-less atomizer last as long as my HH I'm sticking with those.

Strictly based on performance the HH-357 is the best but its not 2.5 times better as the price would suggest.

Now that I've adjusted my style and can get a 306 working well I'm going to try the i06 from Iken as well.
(just wish there was a cannon drip tip to fit them)

If I clean with vodka I don't let them dry, just blow out with compressed air and right back to vaping on them.
The first 10 hits can be weak but the vodka clears out pretty quick.

If I steam clean them with water I still blow them out but I do let them sit for 10-12 hours before I juice them back up.

If I clean a bunch at a time I never let them dry completely .... I put a carto condom on the bottom and add some 50/50 PG/VG to keep them wet until I use them. Cisco especially can burn easily if they sit dry for a long period. Even if you do the 10 drops and wait 10 minutes the wick doesn't seem to absorb as well as it could if you always keep them wet.

Learned that from the HH-357 directions and it seems to be true with all attys. Once I started following the HH directions with all my atomizers everything started working better for me.
