Thank you :) I'm also pleased to find my memory is still rather more-or-less intact :) I'm thinking about this as an option on an up-coming vacation but find it adds another question :p

He mentions using an over-filled cart on a PT but is there a restriction for the rest of the time? Would it be better to use a manual or is an automatic okay?

Also, it looked like Snow didn't replace the tip...I apologize if he did and I couldn't see it because I viewed it on my phone...without a magnifying lens :p So, the question here...cover it with the white rubber thing, use a drip tip, use nothing at all??

Please, oh, pretty please...gimme the clues I need for my clueless life ;)

Good Morning Kanza,

When you convert a Carto into a Drip Atty, it increases the chances of flooding the Atomizer. You will know if this happens because it may gurgle or not want to fire up on a standard battery. It doesn't happen all the time, but it can, and when it does you can generally wake up the atty by putting the Carto on a PT or 5v mod. The added voltage will heat up the atomizer and burn off any excess juice.

It doesn't really matter whether you use an Auto or Manual Battery, just remember to remove the Carto when drip filling. I generally put a Drip Tip on them, I just didn't do it in the demonstration. If I were going to use this technique during a vacation I would make a minimum of 5 drip atomizers and I would test them before leaving.

Hope that helped.....

Yes, indeed, it helped :) Just like all of your words of wisdom...it put my mind to rest :) It's a long trip and I think dripping will help to reduce the "luggage" involved with vaping :) I am including a PT, which wasn't on my list prior to this :) Oh, and is this something you can do with burned cartos? I don't have any but live in daily dread that the next one could "go up in flames" while vaping

There is only 2 things to do with burnt cartos......toss em or recycle them!

The reason why is because the wick tubes are compromised, so they will leak and have a noted burnt taste. But you can use any empty pre-fills that are still in good shape. The great thing is you can actually see the wick tube if you put a flashlight onto it and inspect it for any burn holes.

Personally speaking if it were me.....I would prefill 20-25 cartos, re-cap them, put them in their respective boxes, bring 1 bottle of juice for each flavor you are vaping......and not deal with dripping. Places like Target sell small nylon zip bags which will help keep all your gear consolidated and easy to store while traveling. I like converting Carto to Drip Atomizers for testing new juices, this way I don't fill a full carto just in case I don't care for the juice.

In any case, sounds like you're off to have a cool adventure...have fun!

:)
