I broke down and bought a Luci. I really like it. Now I'm curious, what is this, really? I tried to search the forum to see what model this really is. I saw suggestions that it could be a VX2, a L88b, or J118. Or even a 103? If I can get neaty keen accessories for it, I would like to do so. I'd like to be able to buy non branded generic parts, like batteries and attys. I have just been using the carts that came with it, and I'm not unhappy so far, but I do plan to use flavored juice, reload, and maybe dip. I was thinking that in order to get accessories like the usb passthru, I'd have to move to another model, like a 901, or a 501.

Any other Luci-likers out there?

I definitely plan to refill these carts. i saw a video on it, it doesn't look hard. I wish I knew someone locally who had a J118 so I could look at it and compare. I would love to get a USB passthru and maybe a PCC. The only thing I am not liking is the high cost of replacement atomizers and batteries, wish I could tell what model it is.

I'm getting why people like the manual battery. I guess I do like to use long drags, and i can overwhelm the luci battery. But for most draws, it is okay. It's great for mobile use. So whatever the next device I get will be, it will have a manual battery, usb passthru, and less expensive atomizers.

I dont know what the model # is, but it has the same threads as a 510. I have used a 510 PCC, passthrough, and swapped batteries and atomizers, they are interchangable, but the Luci is smaller in diameter, so even though it does fit and work with 510 items, it will look a little funky if you care about that type of thing. Keep your receipt so you can cash in on the atomizer 1 yr warranty. Back when I was using it, I ditched the Luci batteries and just used the atomizer on a passthrough and 5v mod, both worked great and seems that atomizer really conserves the juice. Surprising since the resevior in the cart can only hold 6 or 7 drops.

The Luci is an odd one.

When I first found out about e-cigs, it was thanks to a Blu ad. At the time, Blu was shut down because they could not fill their orders. I was re-directed to the Luci site where they claimed 90% interchangeability with Blu to capture the Blu customer. They also dropped the price down to $59 to match Blu during that time.

I bit.

It is a beautiful unit, very elegant and classy looking. It works decently, but not as good as most others I have now owned.

It is an L88b. Joye 306a carts and attys fit and work perfectly, but you have to use the 306 atty if you want to refill and use 306 carts.

Here's what's odd about the Luci.... I looked again last night for giggles and saw they jacked their prices WAYYY up. $100 for a basic kit, $200 for their deluxe kit which isn't all that deluxe.

Attys for $40!!!!!!!!!! They should be $10. They are absolutely out of their minds. $25 batteries, $10 for $5 worth of carts, a carry case for triple what any other sells for, and so on. They need to put down the crack pipe.

Batt life is decent actually but vaporproduction never got beyond "ok" IMO. Once I got my 510, Dragon and Blu... I never picked it back up. Yes... even the Blu is superior.

I have a friend who loves it, so I am giving it to her.

You're kinda stuck with it because their so-called money back guarantee still costs you $25 for a re-stocking fee, so if you bought it at the lower price, it's not worth sending back really. If you paid the full prices they charge now, it might be worth sending back IMO.

I'm not unhappy -- if other pv's are better that will be a delightful surprise. But yeah -- they are out of their minds about $40 attys. But I also paid way less than $100 for the the starter kit. Thanks everyone for the interoperability info, now i can get start collecting reasonably priced back up gear.

Since I'm actually pretty happy with the luci -- I am really curious about what other "better" pv's will do for me. I wish there was a local show room of these kind of things that I could try out!

Yeah, it is a really big world out there that's for sure.

I went straight to the 510 from the Luci and it was like a vapor explosion... I mean more than DOUBLE the vapor and flavor honestly.

The M401 is a bit closer in size to the Luci, and nearly the same performance as the 510, so that might be a good 'next step' for you if you ever decide to branch out.

Enjoy the luci, they are cool.

I went from Luci, 510 with ton of accessories, and landed on JantyStick. Luci kits used to be $150, but I bought mine for 100 from a local shop. I now have two sitting in my closet doing nothing aside from keeping my 510's company. ;) I know there are probably better out there, but the JS keeps the cravings at bay without the battery frustrations...keep it in mind if you start longing for something more!

I just got my Luci this afternoon and have been using it constantly since. As a first time e-smoker, I've really enjoyed it. Seriously, I'm amazed how enjoyable e-smoking is compared to analog!

The carts haven't lasted very long for me, I'm on my third already (I'll give filling them myself a try). Also the battery doesn't seem to last very long either, but that could have been my fault for using it out of the box.

Despite any flaws, it was what I was looking for. A small, attractive PV. Also the shipping was fast. I have some other starter kits in the mail (510, 401), so I'll actually be able to compare this PV to something. But I suspect that I will still find some use for this model, even if it turns out I prefer these others. Especially if I find a nice liquid to fill it with, and maybe find a compatible PCC.

Im going to get rid of my Luci if you know anyone that wants it. Ive got two kits (yes $100 paid for each), but don't really need them

I might be interested -- but I *just* got reemployed after extended unemployment, so I don't have fun money right now.

Hey - since you have two kits - can you check something for me? the wall charger that came with my luci says "KR808" on the bottom -- does that mean my luci is a KR808? Do your chargers say that too? The charger that came with the 510 says "Joye510" on the bottom. I'm curious!
