I like my new buzz pro, but the tank...

The buzz pro is awesome. It's lighter in weight than I thought it would be, the button looks a little cheesy but in reality it works perfect. I think it actually weighs less than my old icon.

Anyway, the tank. The construction seems fine, I like the hole with the thumb screw. However I can't seem to get a carto to not just dump liquid out of the bottom. I tried a dual coil xl carto(I got the 1.5 m1a1 tank), and I cut a slot in it, but it just dumps liquid out of the bottom of the threaded connection.

So then I figured I'd try a ce2... no go. That just flooded liquid out through the top like I was drinking through a straw. My problem doesn't seem to be with the tank itself, but I just don't get how to slot a carto and get it working in this thing.

Welcome Merc,
Are you sure you have all 4 o-rings on the tank in place?
How large is the slot that you made? Really only need a small hole with the less VG liquids.

If you are filling through the screw hole, I noticed that it doesn't flood if you allow the air to escape through the hole as you slowly fill the tank. (won't create back pressure).

I've been filling mine with a syringe until level with the screw hole and haven't had any problems at all.

Does the tank fit snugly on the carto? Don't really need to crank that screw down, either. It will push the carto to one side of the opening.

Don't worry, somebody here will get you goin' again.

Same here, I lift my BP from a nightstand/coffee table all the time by the tank and the tank hasn't moved a bit without having the screw tightened down.

So do I and no problems. The seals dry after around a day and grab onto the carto pretty tight keeping them from slipping. I even fish mine out of my pants pocket in the car and it's in there pretty tight but I haven't had a tank come off.

Try Punching the Carto's instead of cutting. I have had some carto's leak at the battery end and it is not the result of the tank seal as much as the Carto's for some reason.

Well yeah, like I said, it had nothing to do with the tank seals, it was leaking out of the connection end.

So the 1" tube and some spare cartomizers I ordered showed up today. Cut an even smaller(I don't know how I could make a hole any smaller than this) slit into the boge carto, put it in the 1" tube, seems to be working perfectly now. First drag after letting it sit for a few minutes was almost gurgly(not sure how to explain it, like you just filled a carto almost to the gurgling point but not quite?), and quickly shut back up and went to normal. No mouthful of juice, no juice pouring out of the connection end of the carto.

Let it sit for a while again... juice coming out of the connection end of the carto. wtf. So now I have to salvage juice out of this thing again, after spending more money on the correct tank since apparently they don't even sell cartos that work with the larger tank, and it just wants to dump juice out of the connection end of the carto. So I save as much liquid as I can, throw another cut up carto in the trash, clean up the awesome buzz pro, still have liquid on my pants and money wasted on a useless tank that just wants to make a mess and even more cash wasted on another tube so that's $30 out the window. I've been vaping for around 2 and a half years now, and this mess of a tank has got to be the worst experience I've had so far. It's a shame considering that the buzz pro is awesome, but the tank.. bleh.

To be fair, I don't see how any tank doesn't turn into a mess pissing out of the bottom of the connector. I don't have the time, or cash to waste on liquid and cartos to cut up 30 of the things till I eventually get one that manages to work "just right".

Real sorry to hear about the trouble your having. I can't see it being a problem with the tank. Can you post a pic of your cut cart? I'm thinking it's to large a cut, or maybe to low of a cut, to close to the threads. I think Buzz suggest cut/punch about 3/8in above the threads.
I use a drywall screw to punch a small hole, just one. It works perfectly.

Tried it in 3 different heights of holes, tiny holes cut in the side of each(probably can't even jam a pin in there), and I'm not digging through the trash to find 'em and post pics. I put the holes roughly where they were in pics I could find of peoples cartos that supposedly worked just fine, and smaller cuts than some of theirs as well.

Also, how do you "over-fill" a tank? It's either full or it isn't. In my case they were roughly half full in each instance, certainly not "over-filled".

Perhaps my wording could have been different on over filling. If you are filling the tank from the top, you could be getting juice in the carto as you fill the tank and flooding the center tube. That would leak out the battery end.

We all love to help around here, and we do our best to get every problem solved. If you just want to complain then by all means do so, since not everyone is going to like the products, but please leave your attitude at the door.

You are using plain stainless steel cartos, no wrapper or paint?

You are not really tightening that screw down super tight? If it is too tight, vacuum gets broken.

You are stopping the punch or slot as soon ad you pierce the carto outer wall?

The o rings are really there, not chewed up? Each cap has both an interior and an exterior ring, sometimes seating the cap takes a bit of work, a bit of eliquid on the ring makes it easier. If you had a bad cut on your first carto, perhaps the inner orings have been compromised.

You wet the carto when initially pushing it into the tank? It should go in smoothly, but take some force, if there is a proper fit.

A bunch of people have used these continuously since they first came out, zero problems. Personally, I vape a pretty thin eliquid with about 1/8" x 1/3" slot at about 1/3" up from the bottom.

I had a problem w/mine when I first got it. It was doing exactly what yours seems to be doing?? Turned out in my case it was missing an internal o-ring, therefore it wasn't getting the proper vacuum that is required to stop it from 1) leaking out the bottom, 2) flooding the carto... I have since gotten all of the correct o-rings installed and have not had any problems, and I'm using the same carto's that I used w/flooding, leaking problem. So it may be something as simple as a missing or not seated correctly o-ring...

I'm not saying this is your problem, I'm just sharing my personal experience and what fixed it. Hope it helps someone :)

BTW: Mike fixed my problem asap once it was realized that it was an o-ring issue... He will do what he can to help, as long as he knows what the cause is. JMHO
