Found this one youtube - seems doable - but yours is one of a kind.......may try this one day:

DIY E-Pipe Mod - YouTube

looks like in the vid the wires were soldered to the battery - me no likee that....

The ego electronics make it rechargable. It is a neat idea really though you could just purchase a small ego battery and drill a pipe stem out to fit. It also looks as though that cheap pipe could be modded with electronics similar to mine and use the drop in battery. I would certainly be modding that stem to fit in a standard drip tip opening if i was doing that. :)

Today I modified an actual pipe stem that I had from an old medico pipe to fit a carto tank. I think it cleans up the look and feels more like a pipe.

I will stop posting about my pipe eventually I promise. Sitting around watching football today just puffing away on the old pipe was awesome. Reminds me of how relaxing tobacco pipe smoking used to be for me. It became a hobby of mine a few years ago that consumed me much like vaping has.

It started as an attempt to replace cigs but that didn't work I just ended up doing both but did find the pleasures of pipe smoking. I always felt odd being a pipe smoker in my mid twenties though. A lot of my friends smoked cigarettes but no one smoked pipes and that hold true with vaping as well. My friends have little interest in vaping even though I explain it to them most of them think even an ego is to big and not cigarette "like".

I think one thing that helped me transition to vaping and use egos from the start was my experience with pipes. It didnt matter how big the device was, if it would help me quit smoking then it was awesome. Now I get that same feel I remember so well and I didn't spend a fortune on it. I couldn't justify $100+ on an epipe for me when I could get a zmax2 or some other VV mod. All in all I spent around $20 on the pipe getting the few tools to make it that I didn't already have, the finishing materials and the electronics.
