In the land of no hills and red dirt
Clyde..... is your liquid bottle "vented" (either intentionally or unintentionally).

To the best of my knowledge, no. I can't find any leaks or anything.

And it IS possible to flood the atty with great effort, but you simply blow out the atty like any other e-cig and you're back in business.

I'm not getting the link :?:

MM: you need to get a smaller screen, then it will fit your mod nicely:p
I'm guessing it looks like a good size on my 17" laptop screen, and it probably looks like it will never fit with my 42" desktop screen:lol:

Hehehehehe.... it's about an inch long IRL. Maybe a tad more.

Are we still talking about e-cig stuff?

venturi effect (eh, Scott?:))

I posted recently (can't find it and at work so gotta run!) some pix of model airplane fuel tanks, hoses and venting. clue there i believe!
aloha
kai

No clues required!! :D

The pic I posted is a remote needle valve for a carburetor from an O.S. (model) engine. You can get stuff like that from most quality hobby shops.

Hello all.
Been away for a day or so.
Venting the bottle.
I did consider adding an air inlet valve to the bottle, but if I did the reverse suction would be lost.

Clyde is correct, if you fill the bottle, the atty will self prime.
If you wish to use suction priming, below 75% full then just cover the side air holes and suck.
But with this design it is not easy, as the air inlet holes are nearly flush with the mod box top.

Petercro,

What if there was a simple pushbutton that closed/blocked the hole(s)? Since I use a 901 there's only 2 holes (1 side & 1 bottom). If the tube goes in the bottom that just leaves the side hole. If I built a rob/button, with spring to keep it open, I could essentially block the other hole with it. Maybe even could partially block airflow?

Just thinking out loud again.....

I would just like to take a minute thank Clyde. For his kind words.
Especially after the tubing glue problems at first.
I have learned the lesson that a small amount of glue, so the mod looks neat, is not always the right way, (Not enough glue to hold the tubing in place).

Mike
I did ask mine, (Not the wisest thing I ever did).

Hello Again
The Mini juice machine is at present 1 x 2 x 3" approx.
I have found a way of fitting everything within, but reducing its width from
2" to 1.5" But that will have to be the Mk4 as the project box will have to be made.

Back to the Mk3.
New Additions.
1. Even though I only charge the Mk1 every 2 - 3 days, I find removing the battery an unnecessary waist of time as I only charge on a night, so charging points will be added (2 silver studs on the base of the unit will connect to corresponding studs on a stand.

2. A main switch ON led. (low mcd)

3. The sleek tactile push switch from Madvapes.
P1300098.jpg

4. A mosfet to protect the push switch.

5. I have not decided as yet to continue to use the 4081 or go for the 510 atty.
It depends on the results of the testing Clyde is undertaking on the Mk2.

6. The battery connectors on the Mk1 and Mk2 were both encased in liquid epoxy glue.
(A pain in the A**e to use). I will be using Epoxy Putty this time.

7. Copper tape will still be used, but when it and the wires are installed it will
be sprayed black or masked for protection.

Finally I will be making 2 of these.
One for me and one for another ECF member (Again for review only).
After which if all goes well the members who requested me make them one.
Will be PM'd by me, especially those members who have helped on this thread.

Thanks All

Petercro
