I could be wrong, Russ, as i usually am...but perhaps somewhere in the deep hidden recesses of her mind she feels that you want to appear and be younger...i.e.....without responsibilities. as in wife and kids and being "tied down".
If you can, give her even more loving attention than I'm sure you normally do. She's just might be very unsure of herself right now, i think, and worried about maybe losing you.

Great to hear Russ. Glad you all got things back on track. Sounds as if the kids helped out here, that's great. 
The Cadillac CTS/V is such a beast. I would even gladly the wagon version. It would destroy my charger and many, many other cars. I would love to have one but that is well outside my auto budget
LOL, Too funny. When we had our first child in 2001 her car was a 2000 accord EXL. I was running a 2000 civic 2 door ex (to save money because we just bought our first home). We got those cars the day we closed on the house. The car I traded was a 98 dodge (Mitsubishi) avenger. It was not a sports car although it looked much more sporty than the 3 Toyota 4x4s I had prior to it.
Prior to that my wife was running a 92 accord EX that she had when I met her. I spent a lot of time convincing her that it was time for it to go. It was a great car and in excellent shape except that about a month before we sold it some dooch smashed the back window and stole her stereo (south Florida condo living for ya).
So one day, a few months after the baby was born I told her I was going to look at the "new" odyssey. She said no way she would ever drive a van. Well I looked and drive it and it was really pretty cool - all the space to move around in , change diapers, fill it with purchases for our new home. I asked the salesman if I could take it to show her. She freakin loved it. She would prolly still have THAT one if leases didn't expire and I didn't find better deals. Since then she's had 4 other odysseys.
She gets attached to cars. She loves her 13 odyssey. She will prolly get another when the lease runs out
I do not get attached. I can trade my cars in the blink of an eye and never think twice. It's been done.
. Several times I told her last night she should look at the new grand Cherokee limited. She said "I love my van".

Kids are a secret weapon at dealerships. They speed up transactions trust me when they are climbing in and out of every vehicle there. We used to stop them. Now I encourage them and wouldn't think of going to look at cars without them. I never even bother with salesman because we always know what we are buying - we deal with the manager over the phone.
Except in this case. Even then, I was at the dealer less than time than I test drove the car.
Much better to leave after you fill out the credit app than sit there. They work much harder when by text and fearing that you will not come back.
But the kids trick is money son. Trust me on that
I still say take her to a Drive In movie....stroke her hair...smell the "reeech coreenthian ledder" of the car seats! very seductive.

Russ, I just went from a van to a Cherokee Sport and the transition wasn't to bad. I was convinced I wouldn't like the Cherokee because I absolutely loved all the room I had in my van and the idea of stuffing 3 kids that are now grown (13,18,20) in the one back seat sounded aweful, but it hasn't been bad at all. We went for a Cherokee sport to keep expenses down (we still have 3 kids in the house/one that eats as much as three horses) and to see if we liked the Jeep brand and we both like it so far, so my next car may be a Grand Cherokee which has more room. Maybe you can talk her into a test drive in a Grand Cherokee, she may surprise you and love it. The Trail Hawks are pretty hot looking too.

Love the car Russ. I'm a Dodge gal myself - I have a Challenger, but the Charger is my very next favorite. Worth being in the dog house for a bit in my opinion!
The challenger looks sweet. The 4 doors are the main reason I opted for the charger. And the '15 charger front looks so bad ayuss to me. Yes, my trip to the doghouse was actually a good kick in the .... for my marriage. I've been happily doing things for my wife since then to make her life easier and she is happier now too
. She still doesn't like the car but that's cool - I got no worries about her wanting to drive it
. I did take her odyssey to get gas yesterday and it was like a punishment after a couple of weeks of grocery getting in that charger though
