I completely understand where you are coming from. I "slipped" a couple of months ago during a period of high stress, and have been smoking since. I haven't been able to quit again yet. And to be honest, I still don't find them nasty tasting like everyone claims.

I decided to order 36mg juice since 24mg just doesn't do it for me anymore. I should hopefully get them in the mail either tomorrow or Saturday. Since Monday is my birthday, I'm going to try and quit smoking again as a present to myself.

First of all, Kimmy don't kill yourself over one slip. I think it happens to alot of us but just isn't discussed very often on the forum. Everyone wants to believe that e-cigs are a fail safe solution for everyone but the sad truth is that some people crave more than just the nicotine and don't function well without the whole tobacco alkaloids. I for one am one of these people and substitute my vaping with swedish snus and some nasal snuff. If you find a little time on your hands you might want to take a look at the " so are we getting it" thread in the nicotine section of the forum. Also, Dvaps blog is a good read. I know that that thread is very long but I believe that Madame P did a summary of it. I will try to find it and come back and post a link.

Hey Kimmy, one more pat of support. I remember you from my very first visits here, while I was still smoking, and you were one of the folks who convinced me to try V4L. You've helped many others, too, and your honesty now helps even more. Thanks~and good luck to you.

BTW, your words about vaping pre-filled cartos ring true. I'm seven months in and still haven't refilled! I say it's because I'm lazy, and I am in some ways, but I've told myself many times that buying a pack of smokes is as easy as dropping a 10 on the counter. I think keeping it easy has helped. :2cool:

Props for being honest, Kimmy. I'm glad it was a learning experience for you. E-cigs sure as hell aren't perfect that's for sure. It took me a whole month to be able to fully quit smoking. I was so disappointed when I didn't quit the very second I took my first drag off of an e-cig. All of the "I quit right away" hype made me feel really bad that I couldn't do it myself. Anyways, I'm glad you're back to vaping now. And if you ask me, I think that we are allowed to slip up every once in a while... I find it strange when people don't, in fact. If it makes you feel any better- I still find myself eyeballing the cigarette assortment behind gas station counters when I'm buying snacks, drinks or gas.

Question- did you really withdraw after two days of smoking again? Man.... Really makes me worry about how quickly cigarettes detereorate the body.

And I want to add that I totally agree about the FSC. That's one of the reasons I finally decided "it's time to quit for real this time" I could handle knowing there were 4,000 chemicals but when they added another one, one that you can see PAINTED on the actual cigarette, I found myself skipping those 3 areas and letting the cig go out by itsself so I wouldn't have to inhale that crap. 4,001 is too much for me. Ick.
    Cheers!

Hey Kimmy. I'm glad you're back on the horse, and like everyone's saying, you didn't "mess up" anything. All that matters is that you don't give up.

And a suggestion, to sooth your refilling woes. There's a really, really easy way to refill.

Take off the carto, and just drip right into the hole in the bottom. The juice will get "sucked" in.

Sometimes I "top off" with 4 drops every hour or so, but for a real refill, here's my drill.

4 drops, shake shake. 4 drops, shake shake. 4 drops, shake shake.

That's it. Takes 20 seconds. Just look to make sure the hole is clear (if not, blow gently through the bottom to help the juice disperse), and vape.

Quick, easy, painless, requires nothing but juice and your carto.

Angus - May you have a happy and smoke-free birthday. I'm sorry you're struggling. I haven't seen you mention this before - know that we're all here for you.

I only fill now. And I have a weekly "chore" of filling up cartos. It takes about an hour to an hour and a half. I fill all of my carts up at once. All the flavors that I love. So, for the rest of the week, I can just grab whatever flavor I want.

It's a lot less time then I used to take going to the store to pick up a pack of smokes here and there! :)

    Fire Safe Cigarettes.
By law in most states now, they're adding even more chemicals to prevent cigarettes from continuing to burn on their own. They go out if you don't puff on them, so they don't start fires, and at least from their perspective, who cares what those additional flame ......ant chemicals might do to the smoker, regardless of how attentive they may be to their cigarette.

I kind of felt like I messed up when I had an analog after 2 days without. I have been vaping for 5 days short of 2 months and for most of that time have had 1-3 analogs a day. It's a heck of a lot better than the 30 a day I had before vaping. I have found this thread rather inspiring, and I am gonna go for it again, I think if I can make it 3 days without I would be good to go. I also have a shipment on the way of some better juice and I think that will really help.
