This was my firs attempt at DIY. I copied part of another recipe and added a bit of my own. It was a success IMO.

Made 15ml of 15mg juice

3.75ml of 60mg PG nic (Wizard labs)
5.25ml of PG
4.50 ml of VG
1.5 ml of Double RY4 (TPA)
1 drop of carmel cappucino
3 drops acetyl parazine
3 drops ethyl maltol
I'll see what happens as it steeps a bit but it was good right off the bat

Thanks for this -- I already have the AP on its way, will have to pick up some EM and Caramel Cappuchino. Was planning on trying to nail this one myself :)

Is the Caramel Cappy that you got from TPA as well?

Isn't Tribeca just 555 under a different name?

No, its Halo's RY4 clone... Double RY4 has long been thought to be the closest flavor to it, if not a component of it -- but the specifics around it are a bit more of a mystery. 555 is more of a dry tobacco flavor, isn't it?

I think your PG/VG is right on.
RY-4 double is right on.
I **personally would drop the caramel cap
your AP is right on
your EM is a little low +5 drops.

try 3 drops of Toasted almond and
5 drops of graham cracker

Just my 2 cents. Just trying to help ;)

Well i tried the recipe with a few variations and found out also i cannot get that same deep flavor as trib. I did forget to order the Graham cracker from TPA that i wanted to try in the mix. However I've come to the conclusion that the mix is close, but to me its still lacking in that deeper, richer tobacco flavor that the RY4 Double can't achieve. I added some formula 51 tobacco i had lying around and it came closer
but still not quite there. I'm not giving up yet.
Also kuddos to TPA for the free Apple flavor with my order. Since i had ordered the Caramel i also made a Caramel Apple that's pretty tasty.

Don't give up. I'm also on a quest to find a good substitute for Tribecca. Most of my attempts come close but I agree, there is something lacking in depth, body and 'richness'. I just made a large batch of base (RY4D + AP) which I plan to let sit for a short while, then split into a bunch of smaller batches. I have quite a few other flavorings that I'll selectively add to those to try to work closer. I have done that on a small scale and think that the one I added Tobacco Absolute to got me closer. Vape Wizard also seemed to provide some improvement.

I have some travel coming up which will delay me but I will share my results in a few weeks.

I agree, its finding that missing depth that the Trib has. I'm sure its a deeper tobacco additive of some sort, i also
thought about absolute or the plain tobacco flavor and just placed an order with TPA.

Danny: I have some Hangsen RY4 that i didn't care for by its self, maybe ill add some to a batch. How does the T5 differ?

I've never even tried Tribeca, but that recipe does sound good. I'm going to try it out, but I'll add some tobacco (maybe Hangsen RY1 or T5). It sounds like the original is supposed to have tobacco in it, and I just don't taste tobacco in the RY4 Double on its own. It just tastes like caramel to me. (I like to use it as a mixer with other tobaccos).

This thread convinced me to buy a small bottle of Tribeca. I love TFA's RY4 Double and reading theories that it's a main component in Tribeca sealed the deal.

Damn, Tribeca is good. However, it's not any better than other RY4s I've made with recipes found here on ECF. ECFers GRM and DVX67 both posted recipes a while back that are at least as good as Tribeca. They're different, but just as good.

To me, Tribeca tastes like nothing more than TFA RY4 Double, AP and a tobacco undertone. I could be wrong, but I think it could be as simple as that.

For Tribeca, at almost $1 per mL, I won't be buying it again.
