Let it steep at least 2 weeks, better yet a month. It'll be a whole different story.

That's not a bad description actually. In one of my Tribeca experiments, I mixed 8% RY4-D, 5% Caramel and 1.5% AP (all TFA), and it tasted like I just swallowed a spoonful of hay :D

I actually have 3/4 of a bottle of tribeca to compare it to but thanks for offering. As I get this down I will be sharing my methods and recipe so stay tuned. For those that like halo's prime 15 I'm 99.9% there. I did find the mossy/chocolate/fruity note that was missing and am just fine tuning it. I've compared it to the original prime 15 that another forum member was kind enough to send me and it's almost spot on in color, smell and taste. If you want to follow the progress look here starting on page 38. That page will even have my recommendations for tribeca.

I use the max posts per page setting. What post # would that be on "page 38"?

Thanks!

If what your asking is what is the prime 15 recipe there are a few scattered from page 38 on. I just came up with a new recipe this weekend which I have not posted. This seems to be the closest yet.

Base is 75/25 PG/VG 18mg nic

7% hangsen highway
3% Hangsen cocoa
1% Methylbutyraldehyde (get it here) Perfumers Apprentice - Methylbutyraldehyde 1% (PG)
2% AP (Get it here) Perfumers Apprentice - Acetyl Pyrazine 5% (PG)

It's very close to the original.

That's Good to hear. I have some tribeca on order. I was just thinking that what a lot of tobacco juices are missing is a pretzel flavor. Go figure.

My wife says it smells like pineapple upside down cake. I wish I knew what that key note is, I have tried other juices with the same note so I'm sure its something that is sold... I personally get a very nutty aroma/taste its just a beautiful tasting juice.. I need that key note!!

A combination of cocoa and Methylbutyraldehyde will get you part of the way there but there is still one note missing in that pretzel taste. Prime 15 has that same note but is also nuttier. See my post above.

Has anyone tried PA DK tobacco it's got that awesome nutty tobacco taste, one of my favorites. Or maybe a straight Virginia blend to the afore mentioned recipies.

For nutty tobacco I recommend hangsen highway or T5 for your tribecca or prime 15 mix.

I'm going to try mixing this this weekend:

Base: 65/35 pg/vg, 18mg

3% - Hangsen Flu Cured
3% - DRY4
2% - AP
1% - EM
1% - TFA Smooth

Any thoughts/recommendations before i mix this up?

I have been experimenting with this as well. I think your RY4D is too low and AP is a bit high. You can always add more RY4D but you can't easily pull out the AP if I'm right. However, temper my advice with the notion that I haven't hit on it either.

I keep having this nagging thought about the name. "Tri" means three and "becca" is close to "bacco". Three tobaccos?

Good luck. I think I've been moving in the right direction and will post something when I think I have something worthy of someone else testing it out.
