Hmmm. I don’t have many of those, but they’re mostly in the same class, which I’d use more for a back up note than the top note.

You can look though the diy sub forum, maybe on the recipe thread, for ideas.

Personally, I like to use my vanillas/creams/yogurts etc with fruits, mints, bakery.

Yes thanks....the list started as some ready mix favourites to keep me going and ingredients for a Bobby Jazza clone which I love...only problem is I can't find jasmine anywhere. Looks like I'm going to need some more top note flavors to get properly started.

I know others use jasmine so it’s out there somewhere. Start a thread in diy and I’m sure someone can tell you where they got it. I use mostly osdiy and ecx for flavors and one of them might have it.

Go to ELR and create an account. In your user settings, enter all of your flavors into your "stash". When done, click on "What can I make?" and the site will pull up all the recipes that you can make with the flavors you have in your stash.

You can also select "Allow missing flavors: X" with X being the number of missing flavors. If you select "1" the site will display recipes for which you are missing 1 flavor, and you may be able to substitute with something you do have - like subbing the recipe's custard flavor with another brand of custard that you have in your stash.

Well you are a helpful lot here!! Unfortunately I've already done that so have done all the above. Problem is the choice is so huge. I have seen a top 100 flavors list somewhere so I think I am going to choose my favourite sounding ones from there and make a start with a new order. I guess i was just hoping someone would come up with something with the flavors I have....if a t first....and all that.

FA jasmine is great, surprised you can't get it directly from FlavourArt.
You might try some simple 2 or 3 flavor mixes.
glazed popcorn+butterscotch custard
pear+butterscotch+cream fresh
greek yogurt+creamy yogurt+lemon meringue pie (you'll want a lemon or dragon fruit for this one)

There will be a lot of choices when you use the "What can I make?" option at ELR. When I use it, I always sort by rating, so the top rated recipes are shown on the first few pages. After that I just scroll through the recipes till I find some that tickle my taste buds and try those first.

I don't do complex flavor profiles, but you might try the pear and/or lemon with one of the bakery backgrounds. Looking at you list, what you have is pretty much all backup flavors, things used to modify a top note. You need some more fruits and maybe a mint or two. Some Chocolate?

Flavor's Array makes a Jasmine Tea flavor. It's really good. To be honest, I have NO idea where I acquired it but I will say the flavor vendors I use most are Nicotine River, OSDIY, and Cloud Academics as well as Flavor shack.

You may want to check. I could see the greek yoghurt being good with the tea you have, if you like kind of on the tart side.

Most baverian creams are great, but require longish steep times. You could try the tea with the sweet cream too, if you want just something more utilitarian and tea like. If it were me, I'd be adding in a drop or two of sucralose (Supersweet) possibly, but I don't know what your palate likes. .Good luck!

Yep..thanks my problem was that even though I have quite a few flavors it was only giving me 2 separate single flavour mixes....1/ lemon meringue pie and 2/ fresh cream. I had already tried the lemon meringue pie as a single and it definitely is a mid to base note and doesn't really stand alone.

Cap lemon meringue pie v1 is better but I do add FA lemon sicily for a lemon bump. You do need to flesh out your flavors by adding top notes. FA has many flavors that work well this way.

Starting small in another bottle put some of your yogurt juice in, say just a couple mls. Drop some of the lemon meringue slowly(just a few drops to start) then taste. You have no true stand alone flavoring from which to work. You do need stronger flavorings. I don't know if my suggestion will turn out as a great winner(cause I have not tried the yogurt flavoring) but a few drops to find out won't hurt.

:)

Thank again...I have just opened an account with FA Italy and will order some top notes. On the whole though I'm pretty pleased with my first buy which largely came about trying to repeat the ingredients for the Jazzy Boba clone. It means I think that I've got some nice lower note combining flavors for some (hopefully) good juice mixes.

You have a very good start on supporting flavors. I would recommend starting the jasmine at 1.5% and go from there. It's been a couple of years since I had Jazzy Boba but I think you may want to get TFA honeysuckle as well.

Let me ask... have you tested these yet? I’ve been mixing for 4.5 years, and I still make a single flavor mix of most of my new flavors. One thing I’ve found is some do stand alone just fine.

Even if they don’t, it helps to know what they are like by themselves, if they are weak or strong, how long they need to steep, and how they change as they age.

I know it sounds .... and fussy, but the process is as fun as the end result, I think.

And sometimes I just vape my testers, sometimes I play with mixing them. I’ve found quite a few good juices that way and I seldom need other people’s recipes for more than a guide.

Hi. No to be honest all I've done is smell them at the moment ecept for my lemon meringue pie which I have but as I know that most are not top notes I haven't thought it worth it. My creams are supposed to be ok as stand alones but I don't think I'd like them. You never know though I suppose....i'll give it some thought.
