Today I placed an order for Little Chuck. Has anybody got this one. If you do does it work as good as the regular Chuck. How much smaller is it and does it produce good vapor and throat hit. Does it use a smaller size battery.

It works just as good as the chuck, but the battery will last less, just because it is a smaller battery. It will last about a full day. awesome vapor and throat hit, search for 'chuck review'. it uses a CR123a battery.

and for the Chuck, it also can go from 3.7v operation to 6v operation with ONLY a battery change. No installing longer tubes, no changing of switches and resistors... nothing at all but a battery change.

here is a pic for the size difference:

I think the Little Chuck has met its match now. You can buy a Protege or VAPRE51 for the same price (or a little less I think) and have a better overall unit (subjective) and certainly a better quality switch.

When the Chucks were the least expensive option, I think that was the draw... you'd look past the cheap switch and not-as-nice finish, but now that others have come out in the same or close price range that are nicer, I don't think the Chucks craze is going to last long honestly.

LOL, you keep thinking that... When people want colors, and custom graphics, the ONLY one out there than can do it is Jeff, with the Chucks.
The silver bullet is polished. So what. It comes in 1 color. Everyone's looks like everyone else's. Gee, that's cool. Chucks are personalized. You say not so nice finish? Really? The colors of the Chuck have more shine in them than your car finish. If you want to be like everybody else, get a silver bullet, please. If you want to be an individual, you have the option with the Chucks.
Again Bandit, you slam the switch, what makes you think it is a cheap switch? Because it is smaller? The look of the switch is personal preference, they both are quality switches. Just because you personally, do not like the "look" of the Chuck's switch, in no way means it is cheap. In essance, what you are saying is that since I do not like the look of the silver bullet, I should go around saying that it is cheap? Quite the contrary, it is very nicely made. The Chuck is also very nicely made. They are different. I just like the Chuck better.

I've been abusing my Chuck for some time now and the switch is a beast. I'm actually trying to break the switch because I have another on the way hehe. Anything that falls within the range of "normal use" qualifies... even "drunk off my .... normal use" this switch handles nicely. Plus, I like the fact that I have a mod that I helped design, even if only graphically. It adds to the experience and makes it "mine".

I'm curious how long the batteries last on the Prodigy and Bullet since I couldn't get anyone to "go on record" for their battery life under heavy vaping conditions. I'm using the Chuck now with just over 2 days between charges and some of the heaviest vaping you can muster. My wife is going just over 3.5 days on normal use with hers (Emerald Green Illusion finish, looks gem-like)

Yeah, I never understood what his issue is with the Chuck switch. I've used mine for a while now, and there is nothing that makes me think it's cheap. It works like a charm, and I never have to worry about it getting stuck in the "on" position like some others with recessed switches.

And the finish on mine is awesome, so I'm not quite sure what Bandit has been smoking. And the illusion colors Jeff does just look awesome, not to mention the wrinkled black finish. Add to that your own custom graphics.... it's doesn't get any better than that.

Now, with all that out of the way...

That's not to say the Chucks aren't nice. They work as advertised, and the only problem I heard about was a broken switch from dropping the unit (Zofryer). Regardless of how it happened, it still happened. I know if I drop my Prodigy/Protege/SB the recessed switch will not snap off.

It is really very cool that Jeff will customize the paint or graphics for each individual, I really dig that. It is nice to have something unique and special.

On their own they are great, but when actually compared to some others available.. they do not have that same magical glow they once did before a comparison was drawn.

When asked for an actual custom job (my request), it was denied because all they do is machine out a simple tube and apply an inexpensive finish to it. They do no custom machining because they are ill-equipped to do so.

OH! You mean this totally ridiculous request 8-o? Let me ask you, when you asked Altsmoke, Puresmoker, or anyone else to custom machine it for you, were THEY able to accomodate you on your request???

Wow, I am very impressed by your versatility!

If this is the appropriate place for custom requests, I'd like to make mine here.

1st priority is the switch. The current button is the ONLY reason I have not ordered any Chuck yet. Would you be willing to try something new? If so, here ya go...

A spring loaded sliding switch. Meaning, you slide it forward or backward to vape, then when you release it, the switch slides back by itself and cuts off the power.

Here are a few examples of what could be used. The point is a very low profile (maybe even sunken into the body a little bit would be nice).....

Image2104.jpg

Extend the nozzle-shaped end piece you have made (where you connect the atty) a little bit, and also taper it down a bit more to almost meet up to the body of a 510 atty. Adding about 1/8" to the length of that section.

Design:

I want my Chuck to match one of my cars, a Shelby GT500. A shallow machining of the top stripes down the entire tube and through the endcap for the batteries.

Example:

2005-shelby-cobra-gt-500-1_460x0w.jpg

So instead of painting that dual stripe down the body and endcap, it would be machined in, a shallow wide cut. I am fine with the whole unit being thicker in diameter to accommodate this safely.

I would like the Shelby Cobra logo on one side (engraved, not painted) lengthwise

shelby-cobra-f.jpg

The alternative would maybe be to have the Cobra just engraved into the batt endcap (eliminating the stripes on that section of course)

The entire unit (body, both end caps) completely mirror polished, then anodized clear. Fill all engravings/machinings listed above in a royal blue enamel. I suppose for this you'd have to coat the entire unit, then polish away the flats leaving the color in the engravings?

Can this all be done? I'm not expecting the price to be cheap, so no worries there :)

Actually, yes. One is in the works right now. Different design however, a bit more challenging :)

Any other questions?

Still waiting on someone to talk about battery life. How many days do heavy vapers get out of a charge on the Prodigy, SB, etc.?

As for the switch on the Chuck, it's a champ and doesn't look cheap at all. If anything it looks secure and sleek like the rest of the unit.

Of course if there is a battery mod out there that provides 2+ days on a charge with heavy vaping, custom painting and finish, custom metal engraving, with a slide switch, and runs like a 5v mod on 3.6v. I'd be all over that.

Until that day comes I'll stick by the mod that actually covers most of those bases.
