Ok everyone,
I know there are other threads out there that have info for the 14500 battery, but I can't seem to get a clear answer from them. I am currently using a DSE905 with the stock 14500 made in China 900mah batteries that came with the unit. two of them have died on me. The vendor was nice enough to send me replacements. In fact, he sent me three to replace the two that went bad.
The only problem is that the three I now have are starting to fail as well. It seems they only hold a charge for about an hour before the start slowly fading to nothing. This does not make for a very pleasant vaping experience.
My question is what do others that use a 14500 battery recommend? I would like to find a battery that will last more than 2 weeks before starting to fade out with the voltage. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Angelique,
I just ordered two sets from Custom Saber Shop. Not bad, 1750 for four batteries. I guess most places sell the Ultra Fire batteries, so I suppose they are as good or better than anything else out there. The bonus is they are on the West coast!! Hopefully I will get them within the next couple of days.

Thanks again

Kendall also offers ECF members a discount with the code HellenECF10 for 10% of too. Smoking deal on his batteries at HighTechDealz when they're in stock.

On the 14500 batteries, are you sure it isn't the charger causing the problem? Might want to pick up a new charger.

Hmm, thats an interesting idea. How would I know if it is the charger that is the problem?

Are the 14500 bats the only one you are charging? If so, that's where I'd look to next. I've seen plenty of cases where the charger isn't working correctly.

I bought 3 chargers when I started using mods. Anything can go pfttttt at any time, and I'm not willing to sit without stuff, ha.

Thanks for the advice Hellen. The batteries seem to be charging while in the charger and after a couple hours of charging, the charge light does turn green. When I use the battery right after I take it off the charger, it does vape well for about an hour just like it should, but the amount of vapor I get diminishes rapidly after the first hour until i recharge it again. I'm hoping its the batteries. If not, I now of a store a couple miles away that does sell the chargers. I just hate waiting for stuff to come in the mail. Hopefully one day there will be e-cig stores everywhere and you can just drive there and buy whatever it is you need, including mods and high voltage supplies. :)

First of all, thanks to all that replied to this posting. It's nice to know that on this forum everyone is always willing to help. A big thank you to Angelique since I got my batteries from Custom Sabre Shop.

I finally got the new batteries and what a difference they made. My DSE905 is vaping like crazy, just like it did when it was new. The old batts still work, but the vapor production is less than half of what it used to be. The new ones rock.

The only problem I have now is that the trustfire 14500 are a little bit skinnier and about 1/4" longer, and they are too long to fit in the charger that came with the DSE905. I think tomorrow I will just go to Wal Mart and get a AA battery charger. I think they are universal and will charge the 14500's as well. If anyone thinks this is wrong, please let me know

Thanks again!!

the batteries didn't just die, but they just dont hold a full charge as long as they used to. I can still fully charge them and they work great for the first hour, then they slowly lose voltage. They will only last me a couple of hours now. One of them only lasts about an hour now.

I could be wrong about the charger, but I thought they all put out the same charging voltage, so I think that a double A charger should work. At least I think so.

It sounds like they never got fully charged all the way and began to discharge. I had a couple batts do this, and I found it wasn't my batteries at all, it was my charger!.

Did you test them with a voltmeter or multimeter?.

AA battery charger will NOT charge these batteries, because AA's are only 1.5v.. These are Lithium and have different cells and are 3.7v,

This is the one I bought, Ultrafire WF-139 Charger for 14500 / 17500 / 18500 / 18650 / RCR123 3.7 volt Lithium Battery Charger it charges 14500 / 17500 / 18500 / 18650 / RCR123 3.7 volt Lithium Batteries

Oh crap, that figures. Now I'll have to go order a charger online. I hate doing that. I'm going to call Batteries Plus tomorrow. The are only a couple miles away from me. Hopefully they have one in stock.

yeah, I had the same thing happen to me, I didn't want to wait for it in the mail, but it got here pretty fast actually..

Just make sure they understand you need a Lithium battery charger that will charge 14500, The sales people here nearly sold me the wrong thing, because I was trusting them to know what I was talking about. Wrong, they didn't have a clue, lol. And those numbers (14500) have to do with the size of the battery, and important, or else they may not fit or charge.

Hopefully that store has them for you, our town is kinda small so....

I looked everywhere here for one, turns out nobody sells them in town, They kept trying to sell me AA chargers.. I finally got tired of getting the same run around, and ordered them online. .That way I KNEW I was getting the right one. lol.

This charger that I have, in the link I sent you, is nice because it won't overcharge them which is very important when it comes to Lithium. .And it's nice too, because if you ever decide to buy something else later on that has a different size, you won't have to have a different charger for different sized batts.

I've got 8 14500, six work, one died completely and one last about 30 minutes. Ultrafire by the way. I've heard here that all of these regardless of brand have a high failure rate. Except for the AWs. I don't know about the AWs from personal experience. Just what I've read.

I do believe the part about the high failure rate though.
