I got the Ultrafire BRC 18650 3000mAH 3.7v li-ion, and the UltraFire 16340 880mAH protected batteries from Mad Vapes, along with the charger that charges both.

Charged my 3.7v until the light went green. Put it in my Chuck and nothing. Until I get my cartomizer adaptor, I'm used my husband's 510 atty and cartridge. I put the battery in, positive end first, screwed the bottom cap on, and nothing. Not a peep. Tried my OTHER 3.7v battery that was charged fully, and nothing, not a peep.

Now, since Jeff says everything is tested before being sent out, I figured it was my batteries, so I borrowed a friends: UltraFire LC 17670 1800mAH protected 3.7v li-ion, and Tenergy M 750mAH rcr123a 3.0v protected LifePO4.

Fist up, the 3.7v. Put it in, pushed the button and nothing. Took the battery out and it was HOT. REAL hot.

Waited a bit, put the 2 3.0v batteries in, pushed the button, and hubby smelled burning metal as I was about to take a puff. I saw smoke, so didn't puff, opened the bottom cap, batteries fell into my lap (I had on jeans) and those .....es were FLAMING hot. My Chuck was too hot for me to hold, I had to set it down, and I accidentally burned my finger a little on the coils on the bottom cap.

Now, in NO WAY am I holding Jeff or anyone other than myself responsible, I just want to find out what the hell I'm doing wrong? My 3.7v won't work at all, and at this point, I'm too chicken to try my 3.0v, even though they are protected.

Any ideas on why my batteries don't work at all and why my friends don't work properly?? She uses her's on her Xhaler without issue, but I don't WANT an Xhaler, I want a Chuck.

I'm sure I'm putting the batteries in the right way, and I'm not brave or stupid enough to try them the other way.

Well, first off, negative goes towards the spring.

Might want to get a cheap multimeter to test the batteries.

Yep, I put them in + end towards atty, - end towards spring.

But even my friend's 3.7v batteries wouldn't allow me to vape on it, but they were hot when I took them out.

I guess I'm just frustrated.

Hmm, that doesn't sound right.

I think someone in here will suggest some disposables to test.

Good luck with that! I hope all goes well, don't fool around too much with something that's causing your batteries to heat up.

Maybe drop Jeff a PM

Which connector is on the Chuck? Are you using an adapter like the one here that says 510/801?

ADAPt1.jpg

No connector on mine. I ordered the 510 to 801/901 with air channel for use with Cartomizers, but they were OOS so it's being shipped.

I put hubby's 510 atty on and was trying that.

Oh Lord. Don't tell me I needed a 510 adaptor? I thought they were BUILT for 510's, and for anything ELSE you needed an adaptor??

Well, since your 510 fit on that then you probably ordered a 510 Chuck ;)

So wasn't that. I'm sure it's something simple and Jeff will fix him up for you. :)

Well, I'm in a tight spot now.

A) I'm too chicken to vape at 6.0v now (realized I blew hubby's atty, so now he's only got one), and

B) My husband says had I told him how big and heavy this Chuck is, he would have told me not to order it. I'm having neck/arm issues, and he really is....not happy....that I'll be lugging this thing up and down to vape.

I know that people frown upon selling the custom Chucks in the Classifieds, and I'm going to feel like a total piece of .... traitor for doing so, but as much as I love it, I do think it's just too heavy for me, because I planned on using this everywhere, including work.

Thoughts/opinions??

ETA: Here are some kinda crappy cell phone pics of my pretty pretty baby, Her Majesty, THE Hello Chuckitty! *sniffle*

I wouldn't say there is a need to tell anyone. It is just a copper tube with prettiness on it. I had a friend ship me juice from canada, told them it was an action figure. So if shipping out of country it is a THAGBUILT ACTION FIGURE! If it is just being shipping in the states I wouldn't say anything. You never know when someone may have questions about your legality. Which everyone seems to be getting a big head these days. So just pre wrap it. You are not shipping anything dangerous nor illegal (Unless it is juice to canada) so no worries, just ship away.
