I'm using a basic ego style battery with an anyvape davide tank on top with 100%VG liquid. I have put different flavors in over and over again and I am NOT getting any flavor hardly at all. :(

(I hate this tank. it leaks CONSTANTLY all over my battery and spits liquid in my mouth. :( )

I went to a local B&M shop today and picked up some new juices that are 60Vg/40Pg and there is a bit more flavor but not much.

The other problem Im having is I feel like I have to pull really hard to get a hit. Is there something I am doing wrong?

The store I went to today had some clear tank looking disposable things with wicks in them. She said they last about 1-2 weeks and then you throw them away. I picked up 5 of them for 20 bucks and they seem to work a bit better than the tank I have and no leaking. But still, I'm having to pull pretty hard to get any vapor.

I don't know if it's my battery(yes it is fully charged) or what but I'm starting to get frustrated. All I want is FLAVOR and VAPOR and I don't want to blow a gasket trying to get it.

Suggestions??

I have a Davide. I have never once had a problem with leaking, so I can't say much on that unless it was damaged from over tightening. I have had the problem with it being hard to hit, but it was only when I tightened it too much. All I had to so was slightly loosen it, enough that it still makes a connection with the battery but isn't cutting off the air flow. If you loosen it slightly and it won't connect, the pin in the battery may have gotten pushed down slightly. Some people may have other tips, but that is what has worked for me in the past! Good luck!

I had that same problem when I first started. The "leaking" that you are talking about is probably because you are sucking on it like you would a cigarette. That causes it to flood and get liquid in your mouth and battery. That happened all the time to me at first! As far as the flavor goes, I noticed that analogs had really screwed up my taste buds, and at first, unless it was a strong mint or cinnamon, I couldn't taste anything either. It gets better!

Good points. Pg is the known carrier of flavor...it could be you need a higher pg level. I wouldn't recommend a 100% because of the potential allergic reactions people tend to get from high concentrations of pg. maybe a 70pg/30vg juice would do the trick. Also, as mentioned, check the tightening of the Davide tank. I have one of those tanks as well and have had no problem with it hitting. Good luck and Happy Vaping :vapor:

Make sure you are not overtightening your tanks/clearos as this may and does restrict air flow (proper air flow is needed for flavor and vapor production)

just screw it down until it is snug - does not need to be cranked down as tight as it goes

your inhale should not need to be much more than you would use on a regular cigarette

100% VG will mute flavors but give a higher volume of vapor (and will have issues with slow wicking and dry hits)

PG gives less vapor but much better flavor

on your Davide tank make sure the atomizer inside is screwed down tight (they sometimes work loose when you take bottom off to fill tank - happens with protanks also) and it is not missing any O-rings - the bottom coil atomizers tend to only flood (this is what is happening when you get liquid in mouth and on battery contacts and it is probably "gurgling")

I don't know anything about the tank and batt you've got, but my suggestion is to order yourself a Innokin MVP 2 and a Kanger Protank II and about 10 spare 2.2 ohm coils and get ready to vape your head off!! I've got 3 of those tanks and they are great IMHO. All that can be had for around $80. You can always wait on buying the spare coils, the tank comes with 2 and with cleaning, they should last you a few weeks, if not more.

I had much the same experience with Protanks. Certain juices, especially strong flavors, work fine in them. The majority of what I have does not.

I thought I had vaper's tongue for the longest time. I thought my gear wasn't performing well. You name it. The eventual light at the end of the tunnel lead me to RDAs and wrapping micro coils. Flavor, vapor, TH, vastly improved by untold magnitudes.

It's pretty amazing the custom tailored experience you can give yourself, as well as how economical it is, to wrap your own coils. $6.25 for 50 Feet of Kanthal 30GA. Another $5-6 for some CVS organic cotton balls. You're set for a LONG TIME.

There's some transition. You lose the ability to "fill and vape." You could use genny RBAs but those are even more advanced than an RDA. It's not convenient, either. It requires you to invest time learning to wrap good coils. Battery safety & ohms law. I recommend getting a decent RDA, the above mentioned supplies, and wrap your mini and micro coils to be around 1.3Ω to 1.5Ω, AKA "Low Resistance."

So really what it comes down to is trading the convenience of a tank, plug n' play, pre-built atty head simplicity to dripping and wrapping your own coils, installing your own wicks, and generally taking the next step. Personally it's the best decision I ever made. There's nothing better than building your own setup that works for you.

As far as my knowledge is concern 100% VG is extremely thick fluid so I wouldn't recommend it. Maybe a 30/70 (VG/PG) juice would do fine. I had the same leaking problem when I first started. Later I realised it was all because I was sucking it like it was a cigarette which caused the liquid to get into my mouth and battery.

I surely would love to suggest you a list of FLAVORS out of which you can choose best one for you. Some of them are:

1. Candies & Sweets Flavors
2. Intergalactic Coffee Flavors
3. Tobacco Flavors
4. Nutty Flavors
5. Beverage Flavors
6. Crave-able Flavors

If someone can provide me a list of more flavors that would be fine.

The first time I really vaped (at the juice bar at vaperite) I got the 50/50 pg/vg that seemed to be pretty standard for them (with the exception of the bobas, which is, as MOps said, 100% VG) I happily bought a setup, some juice (kona cream, french vanilla, chai tea, and Boba's) and went on my merry way.

You do stop flooding tanks with your hits soon enough, and eventually start tasting better- unless you are allergic to vg, pg helps a lot. Now I'm smoking higher pg things, as the throat hit has mostly lost it's charm for me, and I do like a slightly higher vapor production, and can appreciate more subtle flavors.

Good luck!

I happen to vape 70% to 100% VG and have to have flavor, however, you may have to give up a little. There are several 100% VG vendors listed here at ECF and many people love them. Just check out the thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/375041-where-get-best-100-vg-ejuice.html from other members and perhaps that will help.

Also, you may want to add a "drop" of distilled water to your juice to make it a little thinner.

Hope this helps and happy vaping!

One thing I've noticed on clearo's such as EVOD's is that if the air holes get clogged then it will leak fluid on your battery head. Also if there are to many flavor wicks in the heating coil or not enough for that matter you will get leakage. Plus high VG as others have said makes it more likely to leak because the fluid is getting clogged up in the coil.

Leaking and flavor, I've had both problems! I don't have the same tank as you, so I really can't say what to do, and others who know more have already said, so... What I can say is that I've noticed that different juices will act differently in the tank. On my Novi, I have some cherry juice that would leak like the Titanic. I've lost more liquid to leakage than spillage! But then, I picked up a premium juice, and no leaks at all. I believe it has something to do with viscosity, (read that somewhere here, fluid dynamics aren't my forte!)

As for flavor, I've noticed that Dekang, while tasting good in the B&M, doesn't have much of a taste at home. Maybe it's because I'm new to vaping, and recently quit smoking. But taste is subjective. I've found with premium juices, there is flavor. A lot of flavor. Flavor to spare, even!
