I have the standard size Atlantis evo. Its been a good buy for me so far. Recently though, I changed the coil to .5 ohms, primed it and everything like normal yesterday it was working fine but today I'm getting very little vapor production, zero flavor and a hell of a throat hit. My juice is 80/20 vg/pg. This tank is supposedly made for high vg juices in mind. Any ideas of what i can do other than changing the coil again.

This is almost always a wicking problem. The juice isn't getting to the coil and the result is scorched cotton.

Changing the coil is a given now--the one you have in there is probably shot.

Opening the airflow wide open, turning down the power, taking gentler/slower draws and adding a few drops of water to the tankful of juice are options that help prevent future burnouts.

@Coastal Cowboy is completely right imo though you haven't mentionned if the coil tasted bad. I've burnt a coil myself on my recent purchased big baby and tasted like burned cotton which is the worst thing in the world xD but if it dosen't taste burned i'm half sure he could use the coil still and it could be something else ?

Thank you guys. Yeah, my coil doesn't taste burnt. At all. It's really weird. I'll get a nice tasty pull from it and then the next two will be a really harsh throat hit. No burnt taste just no taste. Ive been vaping it at 20.5 watts. Which I'm usually vaping at 27 or higher. Idk what to do. It's obnoxious. I'm at a loss.

.5 0hm at 20 watts.... Seems a bit underpowered ...... i had one on my sub 0hm tank (Fat scylla sv from freemax)
Used it at like 30+ watts. Have you looked at the recommended watt settings on the coils themselves ?
Also what nic levels is in your juice ? That throat hit could be you're using higher than you need. I for one get a somewhat satisfying throat hit from a 6 mg juice but i like having that, sub 0hm tank usually use higher vg juices with 3-6 mg nicotine because more than that gets pretty harsh i've heard.

I got my first burnt hit today on an Atlantis coil... Was having trouble with my Nautilus O rings and my tank did NOT want to come off from the base. After about 20 minutes of struggling... looking up stuff.... reading the manual, I did manage to reassemble but by then I was cranky and didn't prime it well enough. Blegch. Burnt plastic/cotton.... My first fires are usually tiny and looowww watts, so I didn't scorch the coil completely, but it wasn't excellent. It's vaping fine now, but this only increased the idea of backups, as had that happened to me outside of the house, with no backup, I probably would be smoking. Right. Now.

If your coil isn't burnt, you might want to try a disassembly/cleaning, checking that everything is in place, it sounds like something to do with your airflow, possibly, if the coil is working part of the time? But I don't own that device so I couldn't say for sure. Best of luck with it. It could ALSO be a bad coil, that isn't wicking properly, even though it tastes OK?

The recommended watts for this coil is 30-40. My nic level is 5mg. I always get the same vg/pg levels and always get the same nic level as well. Its actually starting to gurgle on me. So I'm about to take it apart and make sure my o rings are in place. Try again.

@Meinxerces yeah that's why there's no vapor you don't heat the coil enough :p
use it between 30-40 watts should be fine. I've had some gurgles on mine but it usually goes away after a couple vapes (ofc my gurgles don't usually persist,so i haven't had real issues besides the funny whistle sound my tanks make XD)
I had the .4 ohms before I replaced it with this new coil. When I get it back together I'm gonna amp it up.
