I need some advice

I travel and stay in hotels quite a bit. Only have had one comment from a maid supervisor. She accused me of smoking to the hotel manager. He came up banging on my door telling me my company was going to be fined 275 bucks since I ignored the not smoking rule....
I told him I do not smoke. I invited him into the room and showed him my kit and batteries. Gave him a few v4l cards as well...
I also told him I spend hours a week in a court room for work and would be happy to see him in court if I was charged the fee. Also that I work for a large corporation and would make sure the bill would not be payed until the charge left the bill...
Worked out fine in the long run..
So do not leave stuff out for the maid to see. Can be a bad deal then. I now hang a do not disturb sign and if I need towels I go to the maid and get them from her.
But once in over 60 trips since November is not bad odds of no trouble
