I need your HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Recently I have fallen off the wagon and started back with analogs....the problem is that everytime I attempt to Vape I hack my brains out on the first hit! I've tried different juices, tried differnt carts, clearos, tanks, tried vaping at different voltages.....and all the same!

I was doing fine for months , then BAM...I can't vape!! one of my friends says I may be deveolping a issue with PG and should try a pure VG juice....but most of my favorite juices don't recommend a pure VG or even a high VG blend...says it will affect flavor and vapor.

Has anyone else had this issue?????? if you switched to a higher VG did it help???? Most of my juices are either Ahlusion, Backwoods, or Dark City Vapors...and I was using a 70PG /30 VG mix on all of them...now Im lost and dont know what to do! luckily my roomie can vape all of liquids ( I probably have 300 ml plus of juices in stock now)......but Im shocked this just started! Been happening for a few weeks and getting pretty sick of not vaping and falling off the wagon and smoking.....

Any help would be DEEPLY appreciated!!!!

I'm pretty new to vaping, so I won't be much help. Until someone knowledgeable comes in to respond, though, maybe I can pose some questions that might start the ball rolling toward a resolution.

Just to clarify, I assume you were able to use those juices (70PG/30VG) previously with no issue. Is that right? Would you have some objection to trying some new juices that are full VG or much, much lower PG than 70... at least to see whether the coughing kicks in with those?

Seems like ruling out high PG as the culprit would be a reasonable step to solving your mystery.

That is correct...I used them with NO problems before....and thats what I'm trying to find out...if a higher VG would help!! The coughing starts as soon as I take a hit....my lungs burn and its a miserable experience!

Could it be part of the detox process? I've noticed now in month #2 that my throat is a lot more sensitive and I think the "hacking stuff up phase" is about to begin. It stands to reason that cilia are growing back.

I've lowered my nic about 20% by adding more VG to my juices and lowered the watts I'm vaping at; that's been working for me.

Try some Boba's Bounty, it's 100% VG, lots of vapor, flavor and thoat hit. It will let you know if its the PG. I normally prefer higher PG juices, Boba's is the exception.

Nope...tried different cartos, tanks, clearos etc....no difference...

I don't do tobacco flavors...mostly coffee or desert flavors...my Favs being Ahlusions Strawberry Vanilla Cake, Darkcity vapors Triple V and Hillbilly heaven. But I will look into avejuice! Thanks!

Hardware: I have a few eGo twist and a kicked Bolt as primary hardware....use a variety of tanks and clearos... mostly T3 mostly on eGo, and a Pyrex tank on Bolt. Was going to order both a Tesla and a Vamo, and upgrading from the Bolt to a Silver Bullet prior to this....now I'm holding off on ordering anything!!

Don't worry about the battery holder, worry about the burner. Have you tried just taking the voltage down a notch or three? PG can cause reactions but usually you know the first time you use it if you are going to have a problem. Try a pure vg or 80vg/20pg mix. Try just grabbing a good ole 510 atomizer and dripping and see if you still have a reaction. Also make sure you drink tons of water.

Have you tried just taking the voltage down a notch or three?.

I have tried the Bolt "unkicked" as well as lowering my voltage down on the Twist....typically I use the eGo around 4 range on most clearos and tanks....and I normally use the kicked Bolt around 9 watts....but I have been trying every combo to see if its a different variable...

Regarding water....I drink at least a gallon plus a day...I cycle daily as well as work out...so I don't think water is a issue

If you want the quickest test possible, run out to the store, grab a bottle of pure vg, and vape it. No use ordering and waiting for more liquid that you may or may not be able to vape. You'll have an immediate answer to whether using vg will solve the problem.

And/or get a small bottle, 5-10ml of 100% VG juice and another of say 70% VG juice and try them out. I vape high PG mostly but I've noticed it is a smoother vpe with a higher VG percentage.

Sorry to hear you are having this issue bluesbishop! You've tried a lot of different juice delivery systems and juices, though all of them I believe are in the 70/30 pg/vg range. I agree with the folks above who suggested trying different pg/vg mix.

The suggestion to go and get VG and vape that is the one I would start with. I buy mine for DIY juice mixing from a pharmacy. Just make sure it is USP grade (United States Pharmacopeia). That is safe for us. If anyone asks what you need it for tell them it's for skin care. At Shoppers Drug Mart here in Canada it's actually available off the shelf.

This will tell you if there is an issue with either PG or nicotine. I really doubt it is nicotine as PG is much more troublesome. I am sensitive to PG and mix juice 50/50. I find that does it for me. 70/30 juice gives me a sore throat and makes me a bit phlegmy, so I'm always clearing my throat.

One more thing. Yes, VG mutes flavor a bit, but juice makers know this and compensate for it. VG juice can be a but thicker but this is easy to overcome.

Great Idea!! I'm gonna run to CVS and get some VG and give it a shot....if thats ok...I will start adding in some of my juices and see if I can come up with a ratio that works!!

70/30 juice gives me a sore throat and makes me a bit phlegmy, so I'm always clearing my throat.

Its not a sore throat that I'm experiencing....it literally is I take a hit and cough my brains out....like a non smoker inhaling for a first time.....or the reactions you see from pot smokers taking a big hit...it's more of it makes my lungs feel trashed and I cough immediately.

I was vaping 14hrs plus a day for several months...and finally found some juices I really loved....just odd that this came about out of the blue. I would have figured if I had a problem with PG that it would have shown up earlier.

Hey Blues, PG affected me very badly that way. I've used 100%VG with no issues. At least order a sample to try. Or pop over to Walgreens et al to buy some pure glycerin and try it before ordering more expensive trial juices.

I've found that if I use VG most of the time, I can tolerate some PG for a little while. Unfortunately, as you say, some vendors are very much proprietary as to ratios and you may need to hold off those for now. Btw I've not had any issues with 100% VG in clearos - no clogging.
