Welcome to the ECF community.

What exactly have you been building with regard to your coil assemblies? What type of wicking media have you used?

well i have been doing nothing but regular 24 gage dual coils with organic cotton. i just want flavor flavor flavor. vapor isn't important to me on this particular set up, i just want flavor. what would you suggest?

Don't listen to any jackass that tells you to sub ohm right out of the gate. You'll blow yourself up if you have a crap bat installed. You don't know enough yet. You want to be at about 1ohms with no volt variables. Meaning if you just have a basic mod where you can't adjust the watts 1 ohm is where you want to be at. It's not to hot and your juice will last a little longer. The flavor from there should be ok.

Well I know I am going to take crap for this but, there is no such thing as a Sony vtc5. Sony contracted out to some Co to make bats that they then modded those bats to BS and make the so called VTC5. Let me guess its green shrink wrapping with writing on it that may or may not be readable. Yeah my grandmother can print out that shrink wrapping and put it on and she's dead!!!!!
Now that doesn't mean your bat is going to explode on you but .8+ohm should be fine for you but 1 should be better. Its not hot and the flavor seems to be better. Since you're not sure about what you like I think you are better off at about 1 and working from there. Get some organic cotton from CVS or walgreens and all should be good. Make sure you have air under your coils (read no cotton under them) and the cotton is fluffy. Fluff up the cotton and twist it and slide it through the coil curving the cotton like micky mouse ears down to the base. The reason you do that is because the liquid flows better then just jamming it down (think kinked hose). then drip your liquid. Soke it nice, hit it then soke it a lil more. It will get darker the more you use it. If you ever get a burnt flav add more juice. The only thing you may have problems with is getting to know what dry looks like. I had this problem. It looks wet but it really isn't.

I got an Efest and the label is super readable and has an anti-counterfeit sticker on it. And from what I read and such they seem like a good company. Like there is a company if I am correct on the name is kdr or something and they are orange. Funny thing is depending on the factory you get it from depends on that color of orange you get. Christ if you can't get shrink wrap coloring right, what does that say about the bat you are making?

hey everyone.
so i am fairly new to vaping. i have a AR mod clone and a stillare RDA. i am actually pretty good at doing my own builds. but i have not been happy with the flavor I'm getting from my set up. what kind of build would you guys recomend that would give me killer flavor
thanks in advance - Josue

What kind of cotton are you using? I know you said organic but now there is the store bought organic cotton balls and then my personal favorite organic Japanese cotton that comes in sheets instead of your normal cotton ball. And Eclipse412 is right about sub ohming out of the gate but I also have to disagree with some of what he said. If you are new to building I wouldn't suggest trying any low builds like .3 or .2 and lower but those can be great flavor builds as well. I have a tobh built around .25 with a dual coil setup using Japanese cotton and it give me amazing flavor as well as the choice to blow clouds with it if I want and am dripping a high vg juice. Since no one besides you knows your actual ability its up to you to decide if you feel comfortable with a build and trying it. If I just had to guess at a good build based on what I have read so far. I think a good build for what you want would be a dual coil sleeper(idk what other people call them but that's what the shops I go to call it) where you are only using one piece of wire that you wrap one end and run the remaining wire through the positive post and wrap the other side. Basically the exact same as a normal dual coil but its just one piece of wire instead of two everything still connects the same. And I would go with 5/6 wraps maybe more depending on coil size but try having it at around .4-.5 ohms and then wick it with a good amount of cotton same lengths coming out both ends of the coil but don't let the cotton get to tight, like once its through the coil if you twisted it to run it through untwist it that way it can expand and heat evenly. Also don't pack the cotton down I personally have found with the cotton I use if its not tight and packed down I get better flavor, and make sure there isn't any cotton under the coils that way there can be airflow which brings me to suggest try positioning the airholes on the stillare by the coils(I like mine so you can look through the air holes on my stillare and see the coil) this allows airflow over the coils and under them if you don't put cotton under the coil. Another build idea you could try is twisted 24 gauge dual coil. But my main questions for you are the type of cotton your using like store bought cotton balls or what, and Are you dripping a premium juice or a houseblend from a local shop also how many wraps are you doing and how much cotton are you using?

I hope this info was helpful
