So i got the Itaste MVP 2.0 (it's alright im a noob at this)....anyway a month ago i ordered mount baker vape juices about 8 of them. They all tasted like soap so i requested a new batch they sent it to me without the extra flavor and guess what still tasted like soap. So I did what they said every day which is shake it up and then put it back away in a drawer. Well I use them now and still..........soap......

I also ordered from Vape Dudes, 2 juices. Strawberry fields tastes good, the other one tastes like......again.......soap (watermelon ice)

So I am at my wit's end. I don't know what to do I need juice and I need it to be how do you say vape right away no steeping required, and have it NOT TASTE LIKE SOAP! Urgent issue as I am leaving for a cross-country trip to vancouver. Anyone know any sure fire juices that are going to taste good the first time around and not taste like soap? Thanks!

Yep, I actually had to throw out all of my MBV juices recently because even months after steeping, they still tasted really soapy. Do you have any local vape shops nearby where you can taste the liquids before you buy them? That really helped me out during my MBV fiasco. If you are in a crunch, I'd check out the local shops.

MBV has a certain soapiness to it when the flavoring is high. I still buy one juice from MBV - best way to get rid of it is leave the cap off for a day or two, this tends to evaporate the alcohol in the flavoring. Then put the lid back on, shake it up and sit it aside for a week or two.

It could be that you are particularly sensitive to the brand of flavorings these companies use - and as we don't know what brand this is, it's unfortunately a crap shoot recommending another juice company for you.

Best advice is to visit a local B&M if you can. Try some juices there and find one that will tide you over your trip.

did you try them at different wattages? everyone is different on what wattage works for them. also what are you using for a clearo or tank (the iClears make my ADV (all day vape) taste weird unless I dial it down to 6.5 or 7 watts from a normal 7.5 watts in everything else - possibly due to dual coil build on them)

NicQuid is good and so is 5 Pawns and these are usually available in your better brick and mortars

its an iClear 30? or something like that Dakota. I've tried different voltages and wattages nothing works. What is the recommended setting on those things? I usually have the volt set at 7.0 or 7.5 (its the P thing) and the watt set to 4.0 (its the U thing)...........anyway that brings up a question for you dakota after your done answering the voltage and wattage thing, how long is this iclear 30 going to last me (the coil) and how often should I buy it, and how many do you recommend getting before the trip (jan 23rd i leave I get back Feb 1st)

I think the hardest part to this whole vaping journey has been finding the right juice. In the beginning, I ordered from MBV and had the same experience as you. I also ordered from a few of the vendors that were highly recommended here on ECF and found that many just tasted like chemicals to me.

In the beginning I was trying most all of them as soon as they arrived and was disappointed to say the least! I kept reading and discovered that many needed to 'age' for quite some time, and since I did not have a lot, it was hard to let them age.

My solution was to order from some of the 'higher end' well known vendors because most of the time they just need a few days at most before they had a decent flavor. Halo was one that worked for me that way.

I spent a lot of time reading in the E Liquid thread. By doing that I was able to order based on the discussions in those threads and found several that are really good for me. The more liquid you have on hand to use right away, the longer you can let some of the ones that need to sit and age, do just that.

Taste varies from person to person, so know that even some of the highly popular ones, may just not be for you. Order small bottles and lots of sample packs at first and hopefully you will find a favorite!

Real quick, on an MVP, or any APV that has both wattage and voltage settings, you can only set one or the other, not both. Let's say you set your wattage to 8 and you go to change your voltage to 4, you are actually taking your device out of wattage mode, and putting it into voltage mode. The APVs only run in variable wattage mode, or variable voltage mode, not both. It is Ohms Law, and you are solving for X. Hope this helps with that.

Now, as far as your iClear 30 goes, you can replace the heads and they will last about 1-2 weeks before needing to change them. Longer if you learn how to clean and dry burn them. I'd bring a few back up heads with you on your trip, just in case. I find that the iClears can handle up to about 8.5 watts before they start tasting a little burned. I think that a lot of Innokin products work well right around 8.5 watts.

Hope this helps!

MBV, soap soap soap to me too. I was so disappointed at my first order. But about 75% of it came to life after 2 or 4 weeks. Don't through it out! It just might work. I gave a few mine a half year. that never improved. That is garbage. I did find a couple of flaves that I do like and will order again.......far far in advance of my need.:)

What you can try is to put everything in a ziplock bag. Heat up some water in a dish or pan. Not boiling but hot, like hot on your fingers but not burning you. Put the baggie in the hot water and shake it to make sure the liquids warm up, 10 minutes or so. Then take the lids off, the dropper tips too, until it cools down. Shake it and try it again. You may need to repeat this. If that doesn't work, you don't like MBV. lol

I've heard good things about MaddCatt Vapor's Real Strawberry, you mentioned you like strawberry. Their Custard is very good, that one I've had, and they're in Maryland so not too far away. Maybe this will help you find something close to you to go to and try liquids, or something in Vancouver. Electric Cigarette|Eliquid|Supplies|Electronic Cigarette|Ejuice|Smokeless|Vapor Search USA

Are there any flavours that don't taste like soap? If not it might be your cartridges that are the problem. Have you tried dry-burning them before filling them the first time? If it is your juice, try NoIfsAndsOrButts.Ca I love their flavours and their customer service. Other than that I could only suggest maybe try drip tips and vape that way instead?

My best recco for a good out of the mail vape based on your watermelon ice - Melon Boba by Goodlifevapor or anything from the ice line at Mister-E-Liquids. Def no soap taste and I KNOW precisely the soapy taste you are speaking of here. I think it must be sensitive tasters to a base or additive certain vendors use - Im with you I taste it loud n clear LOL.

Surprisingly I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere in the thread. I am pretty new too so My experience with the "soap" taste was my fault, and not that of the juices I was trying.

I unknowingly cleaned my plastic Evod tanks with dish soap a couple times. NOT A SMART DECISION. This was before I researched proper methods for cleaning my tanks. Almost ruined both of my brand new tanks this way. The plastic actually absorbed what I can only guess to be a fair amount of soap while cleaning. After that, didn't matter what juice I tried, it tasted like soap. Funny thing was though, I never got a soap smell, just the taste.

I have since researched and found good old Hot water, and maybe the occasional everclear or vodka is more than sufficient to properly clean my tanks.

Might not be your problem, as everyone else has given you possibilities, this is just MY own personal experience.
