I just placed my order for a V2 today. I can not wait for it to come. I have been smoke free for Just over four years. I have been using a Lavatube for the last few months. . I love the way I can change volts/amps but the build quality of the lavatube is not great. It was getting time to think about a new vv. My great wife said "order one". So I did. I can not wait to have one. Made in the USA and will last a long time. I have all that I need with this and can now know that I will not need to get a new e-cig for years.

So are there any tips for me? How will built is this unit. I tend to forget my e-cig is in my lap and sit up and the fall a few feet. Does it leak like my Lavatube when I drip?

Yep it's heavy! But sooo accurate and reliable! When you set it to a certain voltage.. that is the voltage you will get. PERIOD. Even when you fire a carto or an atty. Most all devices drop voltage underload but the provari doesn't drop at all. And I could go on and on about the AO feature! I love being able to check my carto/atty ohms without having to drag out the multimeter. (I hated using that thing!) I've gotten used to the weight. My next purchase will be the mini.

I had a LT and got mad every time I used it because the led readout was useless. I never knew what the actual voltage was unless I had a voltmeter attatched to it, and it was NEVER what the LT told me it was. I felt like I was being lied to.

One good tip is that it is always good to have a good backup as well, so you may get another Provari before long. As far as build quality? My answer to that would be "top shelf". You'll see just how well built it is as soon as you hold it in your hands.

Congrats on your purchase!

Have you ever seen any SnapOn tools? Or another USA-made quality hand tool? Starrett precision tools?

The Provari is built as well as any of those tools. You'll be impressed. I'm pretty discerning when it comes to build quality -- which is why I skipped LT and other mods and went straight to Provari. Buy well; buy once.

You're going to love it. :)

lol I couldnt believe when my wife agreed also. It was kind of funny I had told a friend about the provari as he was using a brand called zerocig. He ended up getting his two days before i got mine. So being jealous I had to go see it. I was using the LT for about 2 months. When I got there he handed me the provari without the extension cap and I said to him, "dang it is heavy, how much life is left in the battery that was in it?" He responded, "the battery is not in it." It is easily near twice as heavy as the Lavatube with batteries in both, the Provari with an 18490 versus the lavatube with and 18650.

My Provari is my favorite mod! I have a chrome V1 with a blue Led! I'm going to get another VV FROM VAPORBEAST.COM called Vector-Veri. Just want a back up VV device! The Vector-Veri is a L-Rider Lava-Tube! They are stocking silver and black and the price seems good! I'm told they will be available this weekend!

As long as you're aware of the issues with voltage throttling and set vs. output voltage, the caps falling apart, the buttons failing, etc.

Personally, I'd save my money. :)

Please don't waste your money. I owned my lavatube for a week then ordered the v2. How about a buzz pro for a backup?

I'd get that bolt or the switchback before I'd get the vectro-veri. (that switchback looks kinda cool!)

But seriously...once you get used to knowing for sure what your device is doing... it's hard to use a device that tells you one thing and then does another. at least with the bolt, you can add a kick and get a variable wattage device that will hold it's voltage... or should I say wattage...

later... I keep going back and looking at that switchback! It's really (not just "kinda") cool! It certainly is different not that I would actually buy it though.

Phil Busardo reviewed it here: A PBusardo Review - The SWITCHBACK from VaporBeast.wmv - YouTube

As usual, a very thorough review.
