I am not sure why you posted that you quit vaping in a VAPER'S forum? Are you bragging? Not quite sure of the point. Do you go to gaming forums and post that you quit gaming? Confused.

GROW UP ! You sound very immature. If you can't be happy with someone that made a big accomplishment just keep you childish thoughts to yourself . Congrats gbx4. Good Job!

vaping works as a smoking cessation device, but it's ultimately only better for your health if you stop doing it eventually.
I dunno, but I think there's a few thousand members here who've switched from smoking to vaping who will tell you vaping is MUCH less harmful to your health than smoking. I'm one of them. I'm 54 and I feel 10 years younger than I did when I was smoking.

I have no plans to quit vaping. My personal assessment is that it isn't harmful enough to bother quitting. I don't plan to give up coffee either.

Now if it was you objective to quit vaping and you've achieved that objective, congratulations. But please don't make it sound like that should be everyone's objective.

Congrats OP, ther have been those who used Vapeing as a means to quit nicotine altogether.

For me I have no intention of quitting something that is not harming me anymore them things I have no control over, city air for one.

I enjoy Vapeing, and coodles to those that give it up, but please dont make it seem like what it's not.

My personal goal after smoking for 35+ years is to vape myself off of analogs for one year to 0 nic and to quit vaping. I would like to be free of all the fiddle faddle and dependence on sucking in and blowing out. I will definitely keep an emergency kit on hand, no shame in vaping or having setbacks as long as it isn't analogs.. I just want to be without any inhalants at the end of my planned journey. So kudos to you sir for meeting your goals.

Congratulations to the OP !!! You Rock !!!
I started at 24 mg - then 18 mg - now 12 mg - I hope to go to 6 - Then quite but keep a small device on hand in case I cave in, don't want to go to the store and buy a pack of cigarettes. So an emergency crutch if you will. But quoting is my ultimate goal. I'm doing it just like I did to lose weight - slowly.

Well, I finally quit vaping.

Congrats.
If there is any stressful event in your future, please remember that vaping is an alternative to tobacco cigarettes.

My message to you folks is don't forget why you're here, and don't give up giving up. Vaping works as a smoking cessation device, ...

Wrong. And wrong.
Many of us are not here to give up on vaping.
In addition, vaping is not a smoking cessation device but instead an alternative to tobacco cigarettes. An approximately 99% less harmful alternative to tobacco cigarettes.

I have no intention of giving that up. Neither do I wish to give up coffee, sugar or meat.

I wish you well.
And if there comes a stressful event in your life which makes you long for a tobacco cigarette - please remember that vaping is a viable alternative to inhaling the smoke of burning leaves - smoke that contains lots of harmful and cancer-causing substances.

YES!

I had to give up coffee years ago, it just wires me up something awful; gotta be decaf if I drink it at all. However, tea........

I once saw a poster that said... "If we aren't supposed to eat animals... why are they covered in meat?" :D

Sugar... well that stuff is pretty toxic, I readily concede. So far this particular body hasn't suffered too much from it, but it's eating my mother alive. I try to strictly watch what I eat (high fiber, as low on sugar as I can deal with) and keep my weight down, fairly successfully, so it doesn't ever become so much a problem for me that I have to be even more careful with it. So far, so good. :thumb:

And of course I had to abandon alcohol many years ago; it was killing me faster than all the above and cigarettes combined. But there is life after drunk!! :thumb:

Give up vaping??? I really don't think so. It seems to do everything for me that cigarettes ever did, except kill me and stink me up. :D

Well, I finally quit vaping.
It's been a long journey but I've been stopped completely for 3 weeks now. That was always my intention and I'll often look back fondly at my vaping memories and remember how it helped me quit smoking.

I suspect though, it wasn't as good for me as I'd like to believe, and that's a hard thing to admit, like any addiction I suppose.

My message to you folks is don't forget why you're here, and don't give up giving up. The vaping community has been good to me and I wish it well. Vaping works as a smoking cessation device, but it's ultimately only better for your health if you stop doing it eventually.

Congratulations brother!

Having gained a lot of knowledge from this forum for something I fully enjoy doing, and having no intentions of ever quitting; I'll never lose sight of the fact that this place serves also as a support forum for those who really need help quitting analogs. He's achieved his goal and props to him for it.

Congratulations to the OP! Goal achieved. That's always a good thing.

I plan to quit vaping at some point as well, but am stepping down very slowly and taking it as it comes whether it takes months or years.

But I will still keep some gear around...just enough...just in case. Although eventually I'd like to quit, realistically I'd rather vape for the rest of my life than ever be tempted to pick up another cig.

Good luck! :)

Congrats on achieving your goal OP.
If I wanted to quit nicotine, vaping would surely make it easier than the alternatives.

Agreed !
Far better to go back to vaping than getting an itch and buying a pack and starting smoking again.

I'm 60 and i loved my cigarettes until i switched to vaping. I looked at my signature the other day and i think that within 2 years I would have a total of 30,000 cigarettes. That seems unreal.
I vape because i am and in my final years I will vape on. i love it and i love the people here. quitting, just beginning, old hand, high nicotiners, it's all good.
